A group of Crusaders have taken ill with an affliction that is turning their bodies green. Is there a cure for them?
You'll find four Poisoned Crusaders who are gravely ill, even to the point of their bodies now being green in color, at 25 in the Underground River. They will plead for your help in finding a cure.
A Druid named Ferrusk will be at 22. He has the Slime Sickness Curative, but he won't part with it unless he gets more than one favor in return.
Alternatively, you can complete The Good Druids Quest in a way where you kill Ferrusk instead of Chorster and Jamven, and then loot the Slime Sickness Curative from Ferrusk's body.
Now go back to the poisoned Crusaders at 25 in the Underground River. Speak to the third Poisoned Crusader from the left.
One option is to tell them you have the cure but you're going to hold onto it as you consider them beyond saving. You'll get 6,000xp, and they'll all turn into Mustard Jellies and attack you. One of them leaves behind a Seal of Caelar.
The other is give the Slime Sickness Curative. You'll receive 6,000xp. Three of the Crusaders will recover, but one of them will turn into a Mustard Jelly that you'll have to kill. One of the survivors will give you a Seal of Caelar in gratitude, and also mention that Ladle will reward you before leaving.
The Quest will be officially completed if you used the Slime Sickness Curative to cure the Poisoned Crusaders. But you can now go speak to Ladle at 5 in the Underground River for additional rewards. If you insist that his initial reward is "not good enough", then you'll get a Potion of Stone Giant Strength and a Potion of Absorption. If you choose either "Glad to be of service" or the dialogue option that suggests he give you what "falls off the cart", then he'll throw in an Oil of Speed as well.
