Hearthsong
Palisade Gate
I start off at #1 on the map of Hearthsong. I speak with the guards at the palisade gate at #2, and speak at length about Twin Elms. As the conversation ends, they indicate that the riots in Defiance Bay have come to an end. The conversation both marks progress for purposes of The Assassin at Large quest, and means that the party can now return to Defiance Bay if they so choose.
There will be a couple of locals at #3. Speaking to them reveals that Thaos has indeed made his way into Twin Elms.
*Evil* Market
I show this part from the perspective of the evil party. The entrance to the Market is at #10 on the map of Hearthsong.
There are quite a few merchants here. Madsen at #6 will sell food items and Camping Supplies. Alarhi at #8 sells high-tier potions, plants and high-tier gems.
Derwyn at #4 sells armors and weapons, as well as a few unique ones. The one item of interest to me is the Helm of Darksee, which I purchase for Durance to increase his Perception.
Rhanet at #10 also sells weapons, including a few unique ones. However, I only purchased the Ebony Spider Figurine for Aloth.
*Good* I purchased the Ebony Spider Figurine for Grieving Mother.
Anamenfath Bethwl
The entrance to the Passage of Six is at #5.
I start off at #1 on the map of the Passage of Six. I speak at length with Anamenfath Bethwyl at #3. It doesn't particularly matter how you conduct the conversation, because two results are always inevitable. One result is that you learn that Thaos has indeed come to Twin Elms so as to advance The Assassin at Large quest. The other is that Bethwyl grant permission to explore the other districts of Twin Elms.
Rinatto
I speak to Rinatto at #21 on the map of Hearthsong. He feels cheated by Alarhi, and wants my help in recouping his losses. The dialogue begins the Hard Bargain task.
He also sells plants as a merchant. The video concludes with the party making its way back to the Market.
Alarhi
Except Alarhi isn't in the Market at the moment. Her assistant, Iwen, indicates that Alarhi can be found in her house, which is nearby.
The entrance to Alarhi's house is at #11 on the map of Hearthsong. Alliria listens to Alarhi's side of the story and then agrees to help her against Rinatto. Alarhi gives her
Alarhi's Wooden Cage to serve as a veiled warning to Rinatto.
*Evil* Alarhi
The evil party prefers to slaughter the whole lot of them. Zakara tags Alarhi with Sworn Enemy, and then takes her out with two Flames of Devotion. The other warriors hold up the Barbarians on both flanks.
Durance casts Consecrated Ground, and then joins the action. Aloth casts Eldritch Aim, and then hits pretty much all the enemies with a Call to Slumber spell. That pretty much assures victory.
I loot
Rinatto's Money from Alarhi's body.
Hard Bargain
Now I speak to Rinatto again. The Deceptive dialogue option at the outset means an attempt to convince him to willingly leave Hearthsong without using Alarhi's Wooden Cage. Possibilities include a Might check of 18 that increases Aggressive disposition, and an option that increases Diplomatic disposition, either of which will convince him to leave willingly. The other options lead back to him trying to attack you, as if you had given him Alarhi's Wooden Cage (see below).
If you do convince Rinatto to leave Twin Elms, he and several servants of his will attack you at #13 on the Elmshore map.
However, Alliria as a Kind Wayfarer does not want to earn any Deceptive disposition, so she uses Alarhi's Wooden Cage to carry through with the implied threat. A few options become available:
*Evil* Hard Bargain
Zahua returns
Rinatto's Money to him to complete the task.
There won't be any monetary reward, but he will now have traps in his inventory when he takes up shop in the Celestial Sapling. The evil party also takes a moderate loss of reputation with Twin Elms.
My next destination is the Celestial Sapling.
