HALBERDS

The two-handed Halberd is often the favored weapon of guards, who can use these long weapons for crowd control while staying at a safe distance. But they can also be used by skilled fighters, and in Baldur's Gate II you will find some very nice Halberds.

Blackmist +4

Properties:

Special Ability: Blindness 3 times per day, save Vs. Spells. Area: 10' radius.
THAC0: +4.
Damage: 1D10 + 4.
Weight: 10.
Speed Factor: 5.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Not usable by Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.

Location:

Given to you by the Demon after the Eggs Ceremony in the Temple of Lolth if you double-cross both Matron Mother Ardulace and Phaere and then ask the Demon for a powerful item. You have to give the Demon Adalon's Eggs in return.

Dragon's Bane +3

Properties:

THAC0: +3.
Damage: 1D10 + 3, +6 vs. Dragons.
Weight: 12.
Speed Factor: 9.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.

Location:

Found at 4 in the Lair of the Unseeing Eye.

Dragon's Breath +4

Properties:

Combat Abilities:
- +1 point of cold damage.
- +1 point of fire damage.
- +1 point of electrical damage.
- +1 point of acid damage.
- +1 point of poison damage.
THAC0: +4 bonus.
Damage: 1D10.
Weight: 12.
Speed Factor: 5.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Now usable by: Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.

Location:

Dropped by Boz at 24 in the Underdark.

Drow Halberd +3

Properties:

THAC0: +3.
Damage: 1D10 + 3.
Weight: 15.
Speed Factor: 6.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.
Turns to dust when you leave the Underdark.

Location:

Dropped by the Egg Guards at 6 in the Temple of Lolth.

Duskblade +2

Properties:

THAC0: +2 Bonus.
Damage: 1D10 + 2, +2 Cold Damage.
Weight: 12
Speed Factor: 7
Requires 13 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves

Location:

Dropped by Shadow Patrick at 7 in the Temple Ruins.

Halberd +1

Properties:

Damage: 1D10 + 1.
THAC0: +1.
Weight: 14.
Speed Factor: 8.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.

Sold by Arledrian on the second floor of Gaelan Bayle's Home.
Sold by the merchant at 4 in the City Gate District if you save him from the thug who tries to blackmail him.
Dropped by Anarg at 3 in the Bridge District in connection with the Fallen Paladins quest.
Sold by the Djinni in the blue tent at 4 in Trademeet, as long as you haven't solved the Djinni in Trademeet quest for them.
Sold by the shop at 7 in Brynnlaw.
Dropped by the two Guards at 6 in Lady Galvena's Festhall.
Sold by Therngle Dagleford at 16 in the Underdark.

Throne of Bhaal:
Sold by the bartender at 3 in the Tankard Tree.
Sold by the Smugglers at 1 in the Smugglers Cave in Amkethran if you save them from the Monks.

Dropped by Reviane if you fight her party in connection with the Harper Hold quests.
Sold by Ribald Barterman at 2 in the Adventurer's Mart in Chapter 6 if you agree to pay for seeing his special wares.

Throne of Bhaal:
Dropped by Il-Khan Soldiers at 1 in Saradush.
Sold by the bartender at 3 in the Tankard Tree.
Sold by Karthis al-Hezzar at 2 in the North Forest after you save him from Yaga-Shura's soldiers.

Watcher's Keep:
Dropped by one of the "Statues" at 9 on the First Level of Watcher's Keep.

Requires: 13 Strength.

15% chance of draining victim of water (+15 damage).
Slays Fire Elementals, Efreeti, Salamanders (no save).

Damage: 1D10 + 4.
Weight: 12.
Speed Factor: 5.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Not usable by: Monks, Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.

Location:

Forged by Cromwell at 19 in the Docks District if you bring him the Wave Blade, the Wave Shaft, and 7,500 GP.

Harmonium Halberd

Properties:

Equipped Abilities:
- +1 to Strength.
- -1 to Intelligence.
- -1 to Wisdom
THAC0: +3.
Damage: 1D10 + 3.
Weight: 12.
Speed Factor: 9.
Requires: 11 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.

Location:

Sold by Deidre at 4 in the Adventurer's Mart if you have installed the Bonus Merchants pack.

Ravager +4

Properties:

Cast Cloak of Fear twice per day.
THAC0: +4.
Damage: 1D10 + 4.
Weight: 12.
Speed Factor: 5.
Requires: 13 Strength.
Not usable by: Monks, Druids, Clerics, Mages, and Thieves.
Cespenar can upgrade this halberd to the Ravager +6 if you also bring him 5,000 GP and the Serpent Shaft.

Ravager +6

Properties:

Cast Cloak of Fear three times per day.
Combat Abilities:
- 3-18 bonus damage per hit unless target saves vs. poison.

Weight: 10.
Speed Factor: 3.
Requires: 13 Strength.
