ADVENTURER'S MART

The Adventurer's Mart is the finest shop in all Faerun! Biggest selection, lowest prices, and nary a fancy illustration! Just the goods, plain and simple!

     - Ribald Barterman

As you can understand, everybody comes to the Adventurer's Mart to sell off the loot they have gathered in their travels, and to store up on useful items.

  1. Here is the exit back to Waukeen's Promenade.

  2. Here is Ribald Barterman, owner of the biggest shop in Athkatla and an old friend (or at least an old acquaintance) of both Jaheira and Mazzy. He sells both mundane armor and weapons, plus a very large variety of magical items. Click here to see his inventory.

If you have a thief with high pickpocketing skills, Ribald can be pickpocketed for a Ring of Regeneration. However, please be careful! You don't want the entire Mart to turn hostile, do you?

If you return here in Chapter 6, Ribald will offer you a look at his special stash of items for 50 GP. Click here to see his special inventory.

  3. Here is Lady Yuth who sells a large variety of scrolls. Click here for her shop's inventory.

  4. Only if you have installed the Bonus Merchants pack (available from Sorcerer's Place): Here is Deidre who sells a number of very special (and very expensive) items, many of which are related to Planescape: Torment. Click here for Deidre's inventory.

NOTE: Many players consider it cheating to use Deidre's items, in particular the Shield of Balduran which makes the wearer virtually immune to Beholder attacks. My personal take on this is that the only person you can cheat in a single-player game is yourself. If you believe that certain items unbalance the game, my advice is to simply not buy them.
