THE GRAVEYARD DISTRICT

A place of peace and tranquility is the Graveyard District - unless you dig below the surface. You won't even have to dig too far below the surface! Then you will meet all manners of living and dead ... and of course undead!

  1. This is where you arrive when you travel to the Graveyard District.

  2. Here is a Cleric called Arenthis with an orphan girl named Risa. Would be nice if you could find her a new caretaker, wouldn't it?

They are standing next to a tomb. Enter, unlock the coffin, and you will find a Staff of Curing and some random treasure.

  3. Here is Wellyn's tomb. Wellyn was a halfling boy who was murdered. In the daytime, his parents are here mourning their son. At night you will meet his ghost here, eager to give you the Teddy Bear quest.

  4. If you enter this tomb, you will have to fight a couple of Skeleton Warriors. Each one drops a Helmet, random treasure, and a Two-handed Sword +1.

The central coffin contains a Rainbow Obsidian Necklace.

  5. This entrance leads to 11 in the Lower Tombs.

  6. This entrance leads to 13 in the Lower Tombs.

  7. Here is Nevin, a not so loving nephew who has just buried his uncle Lester. But Uncle Lester isn't too happy with the - rather scanty - funeral arrangements and has risen from the grave to send Nevin to his grave.

Sending Uncle Lester back to his grave is worth 1,000 XP and a piece of random treasure.

Speak to Nevin again, and he will voice his displeasure at having to go through the trouble – and expense! – of having his uncle buried again. However, the party receives an extra 6,500 XP.

  8. Here is another tomb. The chest inside contains random treasure. The coffin is trapped and contains a Battle Axe +2.

  9. At night you will meet a grave robber named Stein here. If you confront him and tell him to lay off, you'll have to fight his party. They don't drop anything of particular interest.

Inside the tomb lurks a Mummy and two Shadow Fiends. The chest contains some random treasure.

  10. Here is another tomb. The chest inside contains random treasure.

  11. This entrance leads to 1 in the Lower Tombs.

  12. This entrance leads up to 13 where Nalia's father's funeral is held.

  13. If Nalia is in your party, this is where her father's funeral is held.

  14. Here is an fresh grave where Tirdir has been buried alive. If you save him, you can get the Buried Alive quest. Highly recommended if you're looking for a pair of Silver Pantaloons. Or just some extra experience.

At some times during the day, you will also find Kamir here mourning his dead foster son. You could try to find him another child to care for.

  15. Here is Sethle who has some information about the Buried Alive quest. You'll have to drag the information out of him, as he himself is involved in the case.

The nearby tomb has a couple of Mummies and a Skeleton Warrior who drops a Two-handed Sword +1.

  16. Here is another district exit.

  17. Here is the tomb of the Crypt King. He packs quite a punch but is worth 15,000 XP. He drops a Helmet, random treasure, and the Long Sword Namarra +2.

  18. Here is the entrance to Bodhi's Lair in the hidden part of the Lower Tombs. You won't be able to enter here until Chapter 3 or Chapter 6, depending on which path you choose at the end of Chapter 2.

This is also where you can find Viconia if you save her in the Government District and don't accept her into your party, or if you drop her from your party.
