WAUKEEN'S PROMENADE

This is the area where you find yourself after escaping Irenicus' Dungeon at the beginning of the game. This bustling district is Athkatla's commercial center. You will find a variety of large and small shops, not least the Adventurer's Mart, where you can buy almost anything a traveling adventurer could want.

The weary traveler can rest in the Den of the Seven Vales or, if you crave classier accommodation, the Mithrest Inn. And why not round off the day with a visit to the Circus?

  1. This is the place where you emerge from Irenicus' Dungeon.

  2. Here is the entrance to the Circus. Speak to the Amnish Soldier and the boy Giran to get the Circus quests.

  3. Here is Fearghus who can cast a bit of light on what is happening in the Circus.

  4. Here is Mira, a merchant who sells a variety of mundane weapons and armor and a few magical items. Click here for shop inventory.

  5. Here is the entrance to the Adventurer's Mart.

  6. Here is Cernd's former home, which you will have to visit if you have Cernd in your party and agree to do his Cernd is a Father! quest.

  7. Here is the entrance to Enge's shop where you can buy a variety of mundane weapons and armor and a few more interesting items. Click here for shop inventory.

  8. Here is the Armorer/Fletcher shop, which is owned by a surly Dwarf named Arnolinus who sells a variety of mundane armor and magical items. Click here for shop inventory.

  9. Here is the home of Fennecia, Cernd's former housemaid. You will have to visit here if you're doing the Cernd is a Father! quest.

  10. Here is Maheer the Weaponsmith, who sells a variety of mundane weapons and armor, plus a few more interesting items. Click here for shop inventory.

If you have found the Silver Horn of Valhalla in the Horn House, Maheer can upgrade the horn to the Bronze Horn of Valhalla. The price is 2,000 GP and a Diamond.

Once you have the Bronze Horn of Valhalla, he can upgrade it to the Iron Horn of Valhalla. This time the price is 5,000 GP and a Beljuril.

  11. Here is Quartaris the art dealer. You can't buy anything from him; rumors say he is a leftover from an NPC quest involving Haer'Dalis.

  12. Here is Jerlia the Ore Merchant. You need to speak to her in connection with the Sir Sarles quest.

  13. Here is another store that sells a wide variety of mundane armor and weapons and some more interesting items. Click here for shop inventory.

  14. This is where you will meet Belmin Gergas. The only thing you can learn from him is that he hates Elves. If you let Viconia speak to him, he recognizes her as a Drow Elf and attacks. The nearby guard will then either attack him ... or you.

  15. Here is the entrance to the Temple of Ilmatar where you can buy various Temple services (healing, restoration, resurrection) and make donations to improve your party's reputation. The temple also sells a number of items. Click here for their inventory.

In Chapter 6, you can take Yoshimo's heart to this temple for a hefty experience bonus.

  16. Here is the entrance to the Mithrest Inn where you can rest and drink. You will also need to come here in connection with Keldorn's NPC quest.

  17. Here is the entrance to the Den of the Seven Vales where you can rest and drink. Or you can go upstairs for a difficult battle.

  18. Here is Galoomp the Bookkeeper. He has a spell store where you can buy a very large variety of scrolls. Click here for Galoomp's inventory.

  19. Here is Hes, the owner of another small store where you can buy mundane weapons and a few other items. Click here for Hes' inventory.

  20. Here is Radeel who can't find his way out of town. Let Minsc speak to him to help him out.

  21. Lord and Lady Ophal are a couple of nobles who decide to snub you. With high enough pickpocketing skills they can be pickpocketed for 5 Potions of Extra Healing and some minor treasure.

  22. Here are exits to the other districts of Athkatla. The first time you leave Waukeen's Promenade, you can only go to the Slums. This is just to proceed with the story. The next time you leave Waukeen's Promenade, you can go to any district in Athkatla.

  23. Here is another district exit. This is also the place where you will be ambushed by Ama and her gang in connection with the Thief Stronghold quests.
