The dead bodies of four Goblins will be at 21 in the Coast Way Crossing. If M'Khiin is in your party then she will be able to summon the spirits of D'mak Greatgas, Gar Fouleye, R'gosz the Puke and Sot Darkoozing. They take to bickering with each other but provide insights that they loathe M'Khiin for deserting her tribe and that they killed each other. The bickering eventually reaches the point of their spirits attacking you. Defeat them and either threaten them with no mercy, or ask M'Khiin what she wants done with them, and they will reveal the location of a secret cache.
The cache is at the base of the tree at 22. Be careful as there are several traps on the way, and one in the cache itself. It includes a Potion of Freedom and a Shortbow called Blightbringer.
The party will at some point reach the surface of the Underground River in Chapter 10, starting at 1. Battuks Softbelcher and his gang of Goblins will be at 8 and they'll want a toll. If M'Khiin is in the party, Battuks will want to bring her into his tribe. She'll make herself clear that she wants no part of his tribe, and cow him by using her spirit summoning powers. The choices left to the party then are either to pay 100gp to him for the 2,500xp reward, or slaughter Battuks and his band. Either choice leads to an additional 12,000xp reward.
The entrance to the Underground River is at 15. Chances are you'll have to fight your way through the Crusaders guarding the gate at 12 to reach it.
You'll now be at 1. There are plenty of other Quests and encounters to be found here. But for present purposes you'll want to reach the entrance to Kanaglym at 27. You will likely have to fight groups of Myconids protecting a Shrieker at points marked 20, and groups of Dark Treants and Gargantuan Spiders led by a Corrupted Hamadryad at points marked 24.
And you'll encounter the spirit of a dragon named Halatathlaer once there. Getting past her and into Kanaglym is the start of the Ghost Dragon Guardian Quest.
You'll have to fight numerous undead as you approach the spot at 2, including Armored Skeletons, Skeleton Archers and a Bladed Skeleton and a Shadowed Soul.
The same spot has a stone pile with items, but only if M'Khiin is in the party. Clicking on it prompts a dialogue with the spirit of the Dekanter Goblin named Kruntur from Icewind Dale 2. You'll have a dialogue choice about whether to encourage M'Khiin to take the path of the warrior, or the path of the shaman. The garbage pile has four items:
M'Khiin will be able to use either or both weapons. She'll only be able to use Kruntur's Armor if you encouraged her to take the warrior path. She'll only be able to use The Ghostdreamer's Robe if you encouraged her towards the shaman path.
