SHORTBOWS

The Shortbow is often the favored ranged weapon of Thieves but all Warrior classes can also learn how to use this weapon in a pinch; though most would prefer to use a Longbow instead. Make sure to have plenty of Arrows at hand, or your bow is useless!

Blightbringer

Properties:

THAC0: +1, +3 vs. Dwarves and Gnomes.
+1 damage, +3 damage vs. Dwarves and Gnomes.
10% chance that target must save vs. death or suffer disease (-2 non-cumulative loss of Dexterity, Slowed for 3 rounds).
Weight: 2.
Speed Factor: 6.
Requires: 3 Strength.
Usable by: M'Khiin only.

Location:

In a cache at 22 in the Coast Way Crossing in the course of M'Khiin's personal Quest.

Fleshripper

Properties:

5% chance on each hit to Haste wielder for 4 rounds.
+2 movement speed.
THAC0: +2.
Weight: 1.
Speed Factor: 2.
Requires: 3 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, and Mages.

Location:

Can be obtained as a reward from Marshall Nederlok at 38 in the Coalition Camp if you uncover Malden Col as The Traitor.

Savage Shortbow

Properties:

+2 damage, +3 damage vs. Half-Orcs, Orcs and Ogres.
+1 Constitution if wielder is an Elf or a Half-Elf.
THAC0: +2.
Weight: 1.
Speed Factor: 2.
Requires: 3 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, and Mages.

Sold by Herod at 14 in the Coast Way Crossing.

Speed Factor: 5.
Requires: 3 Strength.
Not usable by: Druids, Clerics, and Mages.

Sold by Herod at 14 in the Coast Way Crossing.
Sold by Belegarm at 3 in the Troll Claw Woods.
Sold by Belegarm at 3 in the Coalition Camp.
Sold by Waizahb at 5 in the Coalition Camp.
Carried by Turin Brassbreaker at 17 in the Underground River.
Sold by Belegarm at 2 in the main hall of Dragonspear Castle.
