TROLL CLAW WOODS

The Flaming Fist camp settles here once you manage to get past the Coast Way Crossing. Two more companions become available. It also becomes the launch point for your search for the Wardstone that will give you access to Bridgefort at Boareskyr Bridge, and then on to Dragonspear Castle.

Troll Claw Woods

  1. Here is your initial point of entry. The edge of the map provides access to the World Map. But Boareskyr Bridge will be the only other area accessible from the World Map when you first get here.

    A Gnome adventurer named Glint will wander about the camp at random, and is willing to join your party. Edwin and Safana will be close by as well.

    Voghiln will be here as well if you recruited him at 23 but don't have him in your active party.

  2. This crate has 20 Arrows +1, 20 Bolts +1 and 20 Bullets +1.

  3. Belegarm will be here as a merchant with a very extensive inventory.

    Dorn will be close by if he joined your party near Boareskyr Bridge but left and was told to return to camp.

  4. Dynaheir and Minsc will be here if they're not in the party.

    Jaheira will be here as well if you recruited her at 23 but don't have her in your active party.

  5. M'Khiin will be here as well if she is not in your active party.

  6. Mizhena will be here. She can provide clerical and healing services like as in a temple.

  7. Here is the chest that travels with you and holds whatever you want to store, including items you may have found during Baldur's Gate 1.

  8. Viconia will be here if she isn't in your party.

  9. Here is Lieutenant Otilda, who provides the Quest called The Irregulars.

  10. Here is Corwin.

  11. Baeloth will be here if he isn't in your party.

  12. Here is Thaird, who continues to provide an Inn with resting options for the camp.

  13. Here are the Half-Orcs named Farrl, Kava and Rend. They are the focus of the Quest called The Irregulars.

  14. Monsters will be here to fight. Could be Displacer Beasts, or it could be Boring Beetles and Bombardier Beetles. Monsters can also respawn here after resting.

  15. There will be Ogres, Ogre Berserkers and Half-Ogre Veterans led by an Ogre-Magi to fight here. The Ogre-Magi will have some treasure and a random Scroll or two. The others may have random Potions.

  16. There will be a horde of Orcs here. The Orc Leader has a Potion of Agility and a Potion of Healing. The Orc Archers each have 2 Arrows +1, which they'll use up before firing regular arrows.

    Near them, on the south edge of the Woods, is a dead body that has a Mace called Glimmer of Hope +2.

  17. A few bandits here will try to shake you down, at least until one of them recognizes you as the Hero of Baldur's Gate. Then they'll try to run. You can kill all of them on the spot with a Fireball from a Wand of Fire before they run away. They'll leave behind plenty of Arrows of Fire and Scrolls of Melf's Acid Arrow.

  18. Groups of Phase Spiders or Swords Spiders, each led by a Gargantuan Spider, will be at these spots.

  19. There will be groups of Trolls to fight at these points.

  20. The entrance to the Troll Cave is here.

  21. There will be a lot of Hobgoblins here. Their warriors will each have a Potion of Healing while their archers will have Arrows +1 and Arrows of Piercing.

  22. There will be a refugee family here. It's up to you whether or not you give them 10gp. There's no in-game consequence either way.

  23. Jaheira and Voghiln will be here. You can recruit either or both of them to join your party then and there, or persuade them to join up with the camp at 1. They can be recruited afterwards at that point.

    Jaheira will also indicate that somebody stole a Wardstone and made off with it to a nearby Temple of Bhaal, and that it can be used to teleport inside Bridgestone.

    Also here will be an exit to the World Map. Clicking on the exit also opens up access to Boareskyr Bridge and the Forest of Wyrms.

    *NOTE* The first time you attempt to travel to either location will result in an encounter with a horde of Goblins led by a Goblin Chieftain. The Goblin Chieftain himself has two Potions of Healing and a Potion of Strength. The bodies of adventurers killed by the Goblins will also be strewn about. One has 20 Arrows of Piercing. Another has a Short Sword +1, and another has a Composite Longbow +1 and 20 Arrows +2. There will also be three Ankhegs in the northwest corner of the area.

  24. There will be a couple of Boars to fight here.
