An unburied body can sometimes have legal repercussions.
Speak to Aileen at 3 outside the Three Old Kegs. She indicates that the nearby corpse is her cousin, who died of a fever on the way to Baldur's Gate. If you give her the 15gp, she'll leave and you'll get 200xp.
There are other dialogue options that express skepticism that it takes 100gp (she has 85gp) to bury him. That leads to the discovery that he was actually her abusive drunk of a husband, and that he died when he slipped while chasing after her during a fight. It opens up other possibilities:
Telling her you won't say anything to the guards gets 100xp, and she'll leave thereafter.
You can blackmail her into giving you the 85gp she does have. She'll obviously be really unhappy with you and leave, but you also get 100xp in addition to the 85gp.
You can also select the option of "I won't make any promises." She'll stay where she is. That leads to a distinct possibility described below.
An alternative resolution starts with traveling to the Flaming Fist Headquarters. You'll arrive at 1 just outside of it. Enter it through the door at 4.
Officer Fritz will be at 6. Speak to him and tell him that Aileen has murdered her husband. He'll send officers to arrest her, and reward you with 300xp and 50gp.
