Junvik Village

World Map

*Evil* The Bloody Anchor

I sail a little south and east, and board a Crookspur Junk called The Bloody Anchor, captained by a 16th level Ogre named Once-Matron Doryga. I wipe out the crew without much trouble.

I thereafter land at the north island of Rikihu's Maw, at #56 on the World Map.

Rikihu's Maw, North Island

*Evil* Captain Henqua's Treasure

I show this part from the perspective of the evil party. I managed to get a Spyglass from the Shipwreck at #2.

Captain Henqua's Treasure now appears as a location at #4. You can find buried treasure during the scripted interaction if you have Captain Henqua's Treasure Map with you. You otherwise wouldn't be able to do much here without the Map.

The treasure itself contains a good deal of coins and gems, as well as a unique Mail armor called Magnera's Chain. Serafen wears it as his armor for the rest of the game. The key reason is that it imposes a +5% penalty to Recovery Time to the attacker whenever the wearer is Critically Hit by a melee attack. And that penalty can stack up to 3 times on the same attacker. It, along with his other items, augments his Retaliation passive by packing as much consequence as possible for anyone who Critically Hits him in combat. The penalties to Recovery Speed will also stack with the penalties to Action Speed from Sisyfo's Stone and Finality's Claim.

I add Padded Underlayer, which adds +2 to his Crushing Armor Rating. I also spend two Sapphires and two Rubies to raise the armor from Superb to Legendary. I prefer Magnera's Commitment, since the Might Resistance provided by Staunch would be redundant with his Unflinching passive. I'll have to wait for another Sapphire.

I briefly return to the ship and switch out Serafen for Tekehu. I then enter Junvik Village at #6.

Junvik Village

Junvik Village

I arrive at #1 on the map of Junvik Village. I witness an argument between Anniq and Tatok.

A Pet dog named Nalvi is at #2.

I speak to Anniq at #3. It's obvious that she supports sacrifices to a being named Nemnok for the sake of the village's prosperity.

Aloth takes Weapon Mastery on his 20th level-up. It adds another +5% Damage with weapons that he is proficient with.

Alliria speaks to Tatok at #6 and offers to find his missing son, Kaali. The conversation starts the Quest called Nemnok the Devourer.

A Pet dog named Ulk is at #4.

I buy a little food from a merchant named Gabel at #4, and then head for the exit at #7. The Drowned Barrows are my next destination.
