You will have returned to the main hall of Dragonspear Castle after having defeated Belhifet. The Hooded Man appears along with Skie Silvershield while you are asleep. He transforms her into an Unknowable Horror that attacks you. You only need to damage the Horror once, which results in Skie's death. Bence Duncan arrives and accuses you of murdering Skie. Speak to Bence Duncan again and he will arrest you for the murder. You'll be brought back to Baldur's Gate, paraded past the Sorcerous Sundries, and then brought before an angry crowd on a platform and questioned by Duke Belt in front of the Flaming Fist Headquarters. And you will be thrown into a cell inside the Flaming Fist after that.
You start off imprisoned in this cell at 1 in the Flaming Fist. Corwin will come by and voice her suspicions that you did indeed murder Skie. The Hooded Man will come by, and you'll discover that it was he who murdered Skie and framed you for it. That will conclude the Disturbing Implications Quest.
Either a Flaming Fist Officer or a Shadow Thief (who also gives you a Potion of Invisibility) sent by Imoen will come to release you out of your cell. Which one it is depends on your actions throughout the game and your responses to Duke Belt during the Disturbing Implications Quest.
You will have a chance to grab your personal belongings from the table at 2 before heading down the trapdoor at 3.
And from the stairs at 4 you can go down the ladder at 5 to reach the Sewer. Where exactly you start off there depends on whether it was a Flaming Fist Officer or a Shadow Thief who broke you out.
You'll start off at 9 in the Escape Sewer if you were freed from your cell by a Flaming Fist Officer. The exit to the Forest Clearing will be just a little west at 10. The alternative is rather more complicated.
You'll start off at 1 in the Escape Sewer if you were freed by the Shadow Thief sent by Imoen. There will be the odd Flaming Fist Mercenary patrolling about.
There will be Green Slimes at spots marked 2 and Carrion Crawlers at spots marked 3.
Bence Duncan, Corwin, and a few Flaming Fist Officers will be waiting for you at 5. Bence won't accept your surrender, saying you must die on account of Skie Silvershield. A Flaming Fist Battlemage and two more Flaming Fist Mercenaries, along with a magical barrier, will also cut off your escape at 6. Fighting all of them can be a suicidal proposition, as you're now solo. And there's no incentive as you've probably hit the xp cap by now. A tenable option is to make a break for the waterfall at 7 and go down it and end up at 8. Also, you can use either an Invisibility spell or a Potion of Invisibility (like the one the Shadow Thief gave you before you arrived here) to sneak away and down the waterfall.
And from there you can make for the exit at 10 which leads to the Forest Clearing.
You will emerge at 1 in the Forest Clearing. Imoen will come to greet you.
Follow her to 2 to regroup with Jaheira, Khalid, Dynaheir and Minsc. And from there the cutscene that leads to Baldur's Gate 2.
