The Hero of Baldur's Gate is not out of the woods just yet.
You'll start off here if you were freed by the Shadow Thief sent by Imoen. There will be the odd Flaming Fist Mercenary patrolling about. Each one will have a Potion of Healing.
There will be Green Slimes at these spots.
There will be Carrion Crawlers to fight at these spots.
Bence Duncan, Corwin, and a few Flaming Fist Officers will be waiting for you when you arrive here. Bence won't accept your surrender, saying you must die on account of Skie Silvershield. A Flaming Fist Battlemage and two more Flaming Fist Mercenaries, along with a magical barrier, will also cut off your escape at 6. Fighting all of them can be a suicidal proposition, as you're now solo. And there's no incentive as you've probably hit the xp cap by now. A tenable option is to make a break for the waterfall at 7 and go down it. Also, you can use either an Invisibility spell or a Potion of Invisibility (like the one the Shadow Thief gave you before you arrived here) to sneak away and down the waterfall.
Corwin will have either her starting equipment or whatever equipment she has since obtained if she had been a member of your party during Siege of Dragonspear.
A Flaming Fist Battlemage and two Flaming Fist Mercenaries, along with a magical barrier, will cut off any attempt to escape from Corwin's and Bence Duncan's attack at 5.
