Ruins of Cilant Lis
Arrival in Cilant Lis
I arrive at #1 on the map of the Ruins of Cilant Lis. Alliria has a discussion with Calisca and Heodan upon arrival, plus another discussion at #2. The Ruins of Cilant Lis quest is now triggered.
The container at #3 has a Mace and a Torch. The container at #4 has a Mace, a Hammer and Chisel, plus two sets of Camping Supplies.
The video concludes with the party coming back to near #2.
Skuldr Meat
The good party now goes to the tile room in the center, but then veers off to the right. A dead corpse at #7 has a few odds and ends, plus an Engwithan Relief Gem and a Tattered Journal. The last item provides clues as to what use to make of the gem.
A Skuldr Whelp attacks me at #8. I easily kill it and loots it dead body for Skuldr Meat.
Sickly Xuarip
Alliria heads south. There will be a Sickly Xuarip at #5 who is initially confrontational. Alliria selects the Benevolent dialogue option, and then give it the Skuldr Meat to avoid a fight.
That leaves me free to loot the Hunting Bow and Lockpicks from the urn at #6.
*Evil* Sickly Xuarip
Zakara actually goes to the Xuarip before the Starved Skuldr Whelps, and chooses the Aggressive option to pick a fight with it. It is little trouble to hack it down.
Starved Skuldr Whelps
A Hatchet will be in the urn at #9.
A wall at #10 can be forced down during a scripted interaction either by having any character with a Strength of at least 16 pushing it down, or using the Hammer and Chisel on it. Calisca could push it down, but I instead have Alliria do it. *Note* Whenever you have option that's available during a scripted interaction that does not require the expenditure of an item like a Hammer and Chisel, it is preferable to exercise that option. You never know when you might need that item for real during a different scripted interaction and wished you had saved it for another time.
Three Staved Skuldr Whelps will be at #11. They can stun party members, but they otherwise shouldn't be difficult to kill.
Engwithan Relief Gem
Recall that the Engwithan Relief Gem can be found on the dead corpse at #7. The party heads to the west side of the Ruins.
At #14 will be a pair of Lesser Black Oozes that are easily killed off. They leave behind Ooze Plasmas. A Pollaxe can be found at the corpse at #15.
Clicking on the wall at #16 begins a scripted interaction. First, I use the Full Waterskin I had obtained earlier in the Encampment to wash away the muck and reveal a stone face. Then I use the Engwithan Relief Gem on the empty eyesocket of the stone face. The wall near #17 now opens.
Minor Cloak of Protection +5
The good party easily kills off another Lesser Black Ooze at #17. The container has an Amethyst, an Adra, and a Minor Cloak of Protection. Alliria dons it for now as an interim cloak.
Cilas Lint Tiles
There will be numerous trapped tiles in the central room at #12.
One way to get safely past them is to light all the braziers in the room at #13. That can be done either by having a Fire Godlike protagonist touch them, or using a Torch.
However, my preference is to have Heodan go into scouting mode and disarm the tiles one by one, since I get more xp for doing so.
Famished Spear Spider
I kill a couple of Spear Spiderlings at #18. There will be a couple more Spear Spiderlings, plus a Famished Spear Spider, at #19. I kill them easily enough as well by flanking and backstabbing them once they've gathered next to Calisca. The Famished Spear Spider leaves behind a Spear Spider Leg.
The doorway at #21 leads to the outdoors of Cilant Lis.
