Raedric's Hold Dungeons

Raedric's Hold Dungeons

Traps on this level will be marked with a 'T' on the map.

  1. Here is the way back to the sewer grate, at #18 on the map of Raedric's Hold.

  2. A chest here has a book called the Development of the Crucible Knight, Part 1: Lower Ranks.

  3. There will be trapped sarcophagi in this room. The sarcophagi themselves have random weapons and treasure.

  4. This door can only be opened if you hit the switch from the other side at #5.

  5. This switch opens the door at #4.

  6. These stairs lead to the Sanctuary at #11.

  7. Revenants and GuardsHere is a massive horde of Revenants and Guls. They individually aren't that tough, so a decent party that's willing to spend a spell or two, either to obliterate them or heal themselves, should fare fine.

  8. The ladder here leads up to the ceiling of the Raedric's Hold at #19.

One of the crates in the room will have random alcoholic beverages. The chest in the room will have an item from the "Dungeons - Lower Chest" section of the random drop list.

  9. There will be several Black Oozes to fight here, and they also enjoy significant immunities, which can make this a tough fight. Self-buffing and using summons to distract them are reliable ways to wear them down.

  10. There will be a hidden cache here that can only be discovered while in scouting mode. It will have a random gem.

  11. Here is Giacco, who is being held prisoner in the dungeons. Any character with a significant Mechanics skill can open the door. You can also open the door if you're willing to kill Osrya at #14 for her Rusted Iron Cell Key. He offers a way to get to Lord Raedric without necessarily slaughtering everything in your path as part of the Lord of a Barren Land quest.

If you want to free him, you must kill every hostile monster in the dungeons first. Otherwise, he'll get killed during his escape attempt. If you successfully rescue him, it results in a moderate reputation gain with Gilded Vale.

If you had killed Osrya at #14 beforehand, you would get a moderate reputation gain with Gilded Vale by telling Giacco about it. That means you could get a reputation gain with Gilded Vale by first killing Osrya and subsequently telling Giacco about it, and then getting another one by successfully freeing him from the Dungeons.

If you decide to kill Giacco, he'll leave behind Skaen Cultist Robes and some coins.

  12. There is a hidden cache here that can only be discovered while in scouting mode. It will have an item from the "Dungeons - Prison Hidden" section of the random drop list.

  13. The table in this room will have a book, Edrang Hadret, as well as a random scroll. A crate in the room will have a random scroll and some coins.

  14. OsryaThe party will encounter Lord Raedric's Animancer, named Osrya, in this room. She offers a different way of reaching Lord Raenric without battling everything in sight as part of the Lord of a Barren Land.

If you do decide the fight her, the battle can be pretty tough. She's helped out by a larger than usual Revenant, a few Guls, a Flesh Construct, and a Skeletal Mage. Have a warrior head up front against the Skeletal Mage and Osrya herself, with missile fire as well. A Holy Radiance from a Priest will help as well, since everything in the room is classified as Vessels. If you have any spells to spare, now's a good time to use them.

Her servants will leave behind Vessel Flesh and Vessel Bones, and possibly other items as well. The Skeleton Mage will also leave behind a Rod

Osrya herself will leave behind a Rod, and Osrya's Grimoire. She'll also leave behind the Rusted Iron Cell Key that can be used to open the door to Giacco's cell.

The chest will have a random weapon, and maybe a bit of treasure as well. The table will have a book, The Dyrwood, Part 6: The Saint's War and Waidwen's Legacy. The bookcase will have another book, Admeth Hadret, Part 2: Rebellion.

  15. Osrya will open the way to this room if you comply with her request as part of the Lord of a Barren Land quest.

  16. A couple of chests here will have random items and coins.

  17. A barrel here will have Camping Supplies.

  18. A barrel here will have random food items.

  19. The stairs here lead to the Keep of Raedric's Hold at #4.
