Dyrford Ruins

Plenty of Skaen Temple Fanatics in the area. All of them will wear Skaen Initiates' Hoods. Some of them are Barbarians who pack Morningstars and Scale Armors. Others are Fighters who pack Swords, Medium Shields and Mail Armor. Some are Priests who use Rods while wearing Skaen Cultist Robes. There are also Skaen Temple Sentries who are Rogues that come equipped with Stilettoes and Leather Armor. There will also be the odd Mind Weaver that wears Padded Armors and packs a Pistol.

Places with electrical traps will be marked with a 'T'.

Dyrford Ruins

  1. These stairs lead back up to Trygil's Curriery at #6.

  2. You will find Skaenbones here.

  3. You will have to fight a few Wood Beetles here, who aren't very difficult. They leave behind Beetle Shells when killed.

  4. This chest will have Camping Supplies in it.

  5. There will be a few Stone Beetles and an Adra Beetle here. The Stone Beetles can burrow underground and reappear elsewhere to resemble a teleportation effect, so be mindful of your spellcasters in the rear. The Adra Beetle can make an electrical attack that resembles the Jolting Touch spell. All leave behind Beetle Shells when killed.

  6. This trapped chest will have random gems and some Lockpicks.

  7. There will be a Gaze of the Adragan trap here. There will be quite a few Skaen cultists on the other side, so it may be advisable to open the door, retreat, and let them come to you.

  8. A trapped chest here will have some coins.

  9. A chest here has a List of Names, the Old Dungeon Key, and some Lockpicks.

  10. A crate here has the Final Journal of Jonas.

  11. A trapped sarcophagus here will have some coins.

  12. These doors can only be opened with the Old Dungeon Key or a Mechanics skill of 8.

  13. A chest here will have the Skaenite Scripture and some Lockpicks.

  14. A chest here will have a random weapon and some coins.

  15. A trapped chest here will have an item from the "Temple of Skaen" section of the random drop list, as well as a Rope and Grappling Hook.

  16. Containers at these points will have a Rope and Grappling Hook.

  17. The table here will have a book called Glanfathan Customs and some coins.

  18. There will be several Skaen Cultists here, led by a Skaen Preacher. He will drop Skaen Cultist Robes, a Fine Sword and a Fine Dagger when he dies.

  19. A chest here has a random gem, a random potion, a Rope and Grappling Hook, and some coins.

  20. A chasm here can be traversed with the use of a Rope and Grappling Hook, although characters with insufficient ranks in Athletics can end up fatigued.

  21. Skuldr KingHere is the Blood Pool. If you have a Cruel disposition of at least one, the pool will allow you to sacrifice one of the joinable companions currenlty in your party in exchange for the Effigy's Resentment talent. The talent itself offers a stackable bonus that differs according to which companion is sacrificed:

    • Aloth - +1 Intellect and +5 Reflexes
    • Devil of Caroc - +1 Dexterity and +1 Damage Reduction bypass
    • Durance - +1 Constitution and +10% maximum Endurance
    • Eder - +1 Might and +2 Deflection
    • Grieving Mother - +1 Resolve, +5 defense vs. Charmed and +5 defense vs. Dominated
    • Hiravias - +1 Dexterity and +1 Damage Reduction vs. Slashing
    • Kana - +1 Intellect, +5 defense vs. Hobbled and +5 defense vs. Prone
    • Maneha - +1 Might, +10 defense vs. Prone and +10 defense vs. Stunned
    • Pallegina - +1 Resolve and +1 Damage Reduction vs. Shocking
    • Sagani - +1 Perception and +2 Accuracy when attacking the same target as an ally
    • Zahua - +1 Constitution and +15% drug duration

Note that you can only interact with the Pool once, and then sacrifice a current party member who is with you at that time. That means you cannot click and interact with the pool, go get another party member, and then interact with the pool a second time to get the reward you want. Plan ahead of time before clicking on and interacting with the pool for the first time. Also, party members you create yourself cannot be sacrificed.

If you do decide to kill Wymund and the rest of the Cultists, one of the items he'll leave behind is the Wymund's Key, which can be used to open the chest at #33.

  33. A chest here can only be opened with Wymund's Key, which would require killing Wymund and the rest of the Skaen Cultists he has with him. It has the dagger named Aattuuk, as well as Wymund's Notebook.

  34. A chest here has random gems and coins.

  35. This lever opens the door at #36.
