Black Meadow

  1. This point provides access to travel by the World Map. It will also be the point of arrival if the party got here from Gilded Vale.

  2. The party will be attacked by small feral creatures called Wichts here. They aren't particularly dangerous, even in significant numbers, but they can inflict a little extra poisoning damage with their attacks. They typically leave behind Vessel Flesh when killed.

  3. You will find a River Reed here.

  4. There's a hidden stash here that can only be discovered while in Stealth mode. It typically has some coins, a random gem or two, a random potion or two, and Camping Supplies.

  5. A corpse here will have a random weapon.

  6. A corpse here will have a random potion and some coins.

  7. There will be a few Spear Spiders and Spear Spiderlings here. They'll leave behind Spear Spider Legs when killed.

  8. There will be a corpse here that can be looted for Fulvano's Boots.

  9. Berath's Bells can be picked here.

  10. Here is where you can bury the Scroll of Wael if you have recovered it in the course of the The Parable of Wael task.

  11. There will be a couple of Forest Lurkers here, who are pretty tough. They have a lot of Endurance, can hit for significant damage, and their attacks can also leave characters Stuck. They leave behind Awakened Wood when killed.

  12. The Dweller and its minions will be here if you accepted the bounty on it.

  13. There will be a shrine here. Going into stealth mode reveals a hidden stash in the shrine itself. It typically holds a Fine Wand, a couple of spell scrolls, a couple of gems, and some coins.

  14. If you reached an agreement with the Adra Dragon as part of The Master Below quest, then you will find Falanroed here just in front of the shrine.

  15. Here you'll find a Dyrcap.

  16. You'll frequently find the odd Fell Troll throughout the Black Meadow. You'll have to fight trios of them at spots marked #15. They leave behind Troll Skins when killed.

  17. You'll find Blood Moss at these spots.

  18. You'll find a Burned Lady here.

  19. The dragon skull here has a hidden stash that can only be discovered while in scouting mode. It typically has some random gems, creature parts, and plants.

  20. Bandit CampHere is the the bandit camp that you'll have to defeat if you want to complete The Smith's Shipment quest. The camp itself includes several Bandits who attack up front, the Bandit Leader, and a couple of archers who attack at a distance. Of all the battles in this area, this is the one you should pour your spell resources into.

    The front-line bandits leave behind:
    The Bandit Leader leaves behind:

    The Archers leave behind:

One of the crates left behind will have a random mundane item or two.

A trunk in the camp will have random food items.

Another crate, in between the other crate and the trunk, will have a Tattered Note and the Shipment Crate.

The Tattered Note, when read, reveals the words: "Yc Nybean Eyldfeon", which is a password that will grant access to a particular merchant in Defiance Bay, but that won't be until later on.

The Shipment Crate is the item that is needed to complete The Smith's Shipment quest.

  21. Here is where you can now access the World Map so as to reach the Esternwood.
