Temple of Eothas - Level 1

Temple of Eothas, Level 1

  1. Here is the where the party initially enters the Temple from Gilded Vale.

  2. WirtanHere is Wirtan, who will give the party the Buried Secrets quest to recover the bodies of his former companions. Aggressive and Benevolent options are available during the dialogue.

  3. There will be a few Will-O-Wisps in this room. They can temporarily charm individual party members into not attacking them. Even a low-level party can nonetheless bring them down with some persistance. A container in the room will have a few Adra and some copper coins.

  4. A couple of Ivory Spinners and several Ivory Spiderlings will attack the party. Their webs can temporarily hold in place individual party members. Persistent physical attacks and spells should nonetheless wear them down over time. Each leaves behind a Spider Venom Sac.

  5. Here is a secret cache which can be discovered by a character in scouting mode. It will have a random gem and a random potion.

  6. A few Skuldrs will attack the party in this room. Their screeches can temporarily stun party members. Brute force and persistence should still suffice. They'll each leave behind a Skuldr Ear.

  7. The wreckage here has a Fine Sword.

  8. The bookcase here has a book called the Monsters of the Dead Archipalego.

  9. The bookcase here has a Scroll of Minoletta's Magic Missiles and a book titled The Dyrwood, Part 1: Early Colonial History.

  10. A chest here holds a random weapon.

  11. The bookcase here holds two books. One is titled The Great Western Stag. The other is titled the Book of Verses.

    Entering this room in scouting mode will also reveal a hollow in the bookcase, which has the Engraved Silver Key. The key itself can open the door leading to the next level.

  12. This room will also have a couple of Ivory Spinners and several Ivory Spiderlings that will attack the party. Like the others, these ones will also leave behind Spider Venom Sacs.

    A table in the room has a random gem and a A Letter Home.

  13. You can discover a secret door here if you're in scouting mode. The door will open the way to the adjacent room.

  14. There will be a few more Skuldrs here. They also leave behind Skuldr Ears.

  15. Skuldr KingThere will be several Skuldrs here, led by a Skuldr King. This battle can be pretty tough. Hold nothing back, even if it means you have to rest afterwards. These ones also leave behind Skuldr Ears. There will be another Priest of Eothas spirit here whose past can be read by your Watcher abilities.

  16. A crate here has a trap that can only be discovered and subsequently disarmed while in scouting mode. It offers a random scroll or two plus a random item from the "Gilded Vale - Temple of Eothas - Upper Floor West" section of the Random Drop List.

  17. The bells here can be used to open the door at #18. The correct sequence for ringing them is right, middle, left, and right.

  18. The door here can be opened either by ringing the correct sequence of bells at #17, by a character that has at least 10 ranks in Mechanics, or using the Engraved Silver Key from #11.

  19. Here is the way to the second level at #1.

  20. Here is another set of stairs leading down to the second level, but at #10.

  21. This room is filled with candles that still burn, and signify baptism into the faith of Eothas.
