This is the second level of the old prison in Saradush. It is also the basement of Gromnir Il-Khan's castle, so you will be coming here on your Quest to Speak with Gromnir.

The area is crawling with Gromnir Il-Khan's soldiers, plus a high-level mage. Among the loot will be Long Swords +1, Battle Axes +1, Daggers +2, Short Swords +2, Potions of Extra Healing, Potions of Invulnerability, Potions of Storm Giant Strength, and Potions of Invisibility.

  1. Here is the entrance from Level 1 of Saradush Prison.

  2. Here is the entrance from the Sewers.

    The barrel at (x=210, y=610) contains 40 Bullets +1 and 20 Bullets +2.

    The box at (x=470, y=600) contains mundane Bullets and Darts.

  3. Here you will meet a Bhaalspawn named Asmay Jahag who warns you that the area is heavily guarded and full of traps that can't be disarmed.

  4. When you open this door, an alarm goes off and you will be attacked by a few Fighters and Thieves. Careful; there is a trap right inside the door.

  5. There is a trap right in front of this cell. Disarm it, then speak to the prisoner inside to set him free. The party receives a reputation point for this.

    Evil parties beware: You get a reputation point for each prisoner you set free, which could raise your reputation by up to 3 points. Depending on your starting reputation, evil party members may not like this. Use a Slayer transformation if necessary to keep your reputation in check.

  6. Open the door to the cell and speak to the prisoner for another reputation point.

  7. Here is another prisoner in a cell. But also a Mage who can cast high-level spells, along with a couple of Fighters.

    Learned from bitter experience: Don't cast area-effect spells that can harm innocent bystanders, such as Fireball or Cloudkill. You are most likely to kill the prisoner first, which has a very detrimental effect on your reputation.

    Search the wall at (x=960, y=1240) for 20 Bullets +3 and some Potions of Extra Healing.

  8. In this room you will have to fight an Elite Orog and a couple of Elite Orcs. Not too hard, though.

    There are containers at:

    (x=520, y=1000): Contains 160 Bolts.

    (x=360, y=890): Contains Fflar's Scabbard and a bit of gold. Cespenar can use the scabbard to upgrade a sword which you can find in Watcher's Keep.

    (x=540, y=740) – Trapped! Contains a Wand of Lightning.

    (x=610, y=700): Contains 160 Arrows.

    (x=700, y=710): Contains 20 Arrows of Ice and 20 Acid Arrows.

  9. In this room you will have to fight two Elite Orogs and two Elite Orcs.

  10. Enter the door at (x=1620, y=420) to go to Level 1 of Gromnir's Castle.

    The room also has more Elite Orogs and Elite Orcs.

    The table at (x=1250, y=350) contains a Potion of Insight and a bit of gold.

    The trapped chest at (x=1570, y=270) contains 40 Bolts of Lightning and 20 Bolts +2.
