THE FOREST OF MIR

This is the location of the old Bhaal temple where you may find information on how to kill Yaga-Shura.

  1. Here is where you arrive. Before you proceed inwards, you may want to prepare, because...

  2. Here is a Master Wraith masquerading as Gorion, just waiting to torment you and your romantic interest. When you call its bluff, it attacks along with other undead. Level drain is an issue, but the cleric spell Sunray is as always a potent weapon against undead.

  3. Here will be two Skeleton Warriors, a Skeleton Assassin that drinks Potions of Invisibility (though how it manages to keep them inboard I don't know:-)), a Skeleton Mage, and a Skeleton Cleric.

    The Skeleton Assassin drops a Dagger +2, a Short Sword +2, and Leather Armor +1.

    Each of the Skeleton Warriors drops a Two-handed Sword +2.

  4. Here may be more undead to fight (this didn't happen in every game for me).

  5. Here is a rather deranged Druid named Nyalee, who is also Yaga-Shura's foster mother. She tells you that you must find Yaga-Shura's heart and also her own heart in Yaga-Shura's stronghold in the Marching Mountains.

    When you return with the hearts, make sure to prepare for battle first. Nyalee will make Yaga-Shura vulnerable, but then she realizes that she herself has a heart again ... and with that, feelings! She summons a few Shambling Mounds, Nymphs, and Vortex Spiders to her aid and attacks. Kill everything, then loot Nyalee's body for a Cleric's Staff +3 and a Ring of Animal Friendship.

  6. Here is a container leaning against a wall. Search it for the Nymph's Tear and some random treasure.
