He wants you to meet a Company operative named Brizze, for purposes of
uncovering collaboration between an operative of the Royal Deadfire
Company named Quarno and Captain Tola of the Principi. The stairs at #1
lead to the stairs at #8 on the map of the main
floor of the Vailian Trading Company Headquarters.
You can then go out the door at #1 to reach Queen's
Berth.
You'll start off at #1 on the map of the upper
floor of the Luminous Bathhouse. Speak to Brizze at #4. She wants
you to pretend to be an employee of the Bathhouse so that you can learn
the arrangements between Quarno and Captain Talo. She insists that you
need to strip down to play the part, which means going without your
equipped weapons and armor for the time being.
She'll also give you a couple bottles of Rice
Wine, with the intention of plying Talo for information.
*Note* Telling her you're ready to go through with it prompts a Rest,
and that will mean losing any Resting bonuses you may have had in place.
You'll start off at #1 on the map of the Bathhouse shown above that is
specific for this Quest. You won't have your usual weapons and armors,
but you can dip into your inventory stash if you feel you need it. Also,
the closet at #5 will have a few Daggers, Wands and a Battle-Worn
Grimoire.
Quarno's Accountant wanders back and forth between being near Quarno at
#2 and the spot shown at #3. The latter provides an ideal opportunity to
pickpocket him for Quarno's
Journal.
Speak to Talo at #4. Giving her a Rice
Wine will make available a Bluff check of 7 or a Diplomacy check
of 8. Either will suffice to let her slip that she purchases cannons
from Quarno. Give her a second bottle of Rice
Wine, and a dialogue option becomes available that presses her for
details of her arrangement with Quarno. She'll then admit that she's
being hired to raid Vailian convoys carrying Luminous Adra.
Speak to Quarno at #3. A Bluff check of 10, a Diplomacy check of 8, or
an Intimidation check of 12 can get him to admit that he's partnering up
with Talo in order to disrupt Vailian trade.
You can leave through either door marked #7 to return to Queen's
Berth at points marked #15. Your characters will now have back
their armor and weapons that they had equipped beforehand.
Alternatively, you could also slaughter everyone in the Bathhouse.
It's enough to walk away with Quarno's
Journal and bring it to Castol. He'll accept the results all the
same.
Completing this Quest starts the Quest called Of
Like Minds.
