Trade Secrets

    Kahanga Palace, Main Floor

  1. Entering the main floor of the Kahanga Palace for the first time leads to an audience with Queen Onekaza II of Huana, in an argument with representatives of the Royal Deadfire Company and the Vailian Trading Company.

You can speak to Prince Aruihi afterwards at #3 on the map of the Main Floor. He'll want you to uncover the location of the black market in Neketaka, and he'll give you an Envoy's Badge for that purpose.

Go out the door at #1.
  2. Serpent's Crown

  3. You'll now be at #8 on the map of Serpent's Crown. You'll want to go to one of the exits, like at #1 or #14.
  4. The Gullet

  5. Head over to the Gullet. The entrance to the Narrows is at #4, while the entrance to the first floor of The Hole is at #11.

*NOTE* You could potentially make the Quest easier for yourself by pickpocketing the Marked Suole from Overseer Hitenga at #14.
  6. The Hole, Main Floor

  7. Fyrma will be at #2 on the map of the first floor of The Hole. Showing her the Envoy's Badge, followed by an Intimidate check of 2 or a Diplomacy check of 3, can convince her to give directions to find Delver's Row. She'll tell you to go right, then forward, and then check behind the curtain next to the merchant stall.

  8. Now go to the Narrows at #4. And indeed going right and then forward leads to the merchant stall. You can go through the curtain if you previously got directions from Fyrma. However, you can also discover the curtain entrance on your own without having spoken to Fyrma by making either a Perception check of 18 or a Streetwise check of 6.
  9. Delver's Row

  10. You start off at #1 on the map of Delver's Row. You can show the Envoy's Badge to Ernezzo at #6. Choosing either a Streetwise check of 5 or an Intimidate check of 4 early on can encourage him to reveal that Dereo is somebody to talk to for the sake of learning more about how illegal goods are moved into Neketaka.

Choosing the Honest reply whereby you put it on the table that you're in the Row on behalf of the Prince leads to obtaining different information, but at the expense of a loss of reputation with the Delver's Row criminals. A subsequent Bluff check of 5, a Diplomacy check of 5, or an Intimidate check of 4 will convince him to reveal that you can't go directly to the Undercroft without Dereo's permission, but also that an alternative way to reach the Undercroft can be found in Old City.

  11. The lift at #11 is your next natural destination. You can convince the guards at #10 to let you pass willingly if you have accepted any of The Cornett's Call or Goods and Services Quests, or if you show them the Marked Suole.
  12. Undercroft

  13. The lift itself brings you to #1 on the map of the Undercroft. Simply coming here, and observing how the Watershapers help the Principi smuggle goods into the city upon entry, is progress for purposes of this Quest.

  14. Report to Prince Aruihi for 1,350xp and a major gain of reputation with the Huana.

You could complete the Quest by lying to him and denying you ever found the Row, which earns Shady reputation.

A Diplomacy check of 3 can convince him to leave Delver's Row alone, as it will benefit the Roparu and by extension Neketaka itself.

You can thereafter use a Streetwise check of 6 to convince him to increase the wages of the members of the Guild of Watershapers.

Completing this Quest triggers the start of The Last Sanctuary Quest.
