The table here has Kinnuq's
Memo, along with another random item or two. The memo itself
alludes to the "master's favorite cloak".
Here is Acolyte Kinnuq. His initial inclination is for him and his
fellow Scriveners to go hostile and attack you. If you want to avoid a
fight, you can either indicate a desire to ask questions generally
followed by a Bluff check of 20, or ask about Kaali followed by either a
Diplomacy check of 16 or an Intimidate check of 13.
You will have to fight Eotens, Barrow Guards and Scriveners at these

There will be numerous hostile Naga here, led by Forgemaster Tythus.
A few Eotens will be here,
led by Deathwarden Latuc. Latuc himself will leave behind a Sigil
of Death Wardstone, which may be useful in the room at #18.
There will be numerous traps leading up to this door. The door itself
is opened by finding a hidden button just to its left and behind the
Lamp Oil Barrels with a Perception check of 10, and then pressing it.
The stairs here lead to #9 on the map of the Crown.
This room is loaded with both traps and a pair of Sigils of Death. The
Sigils can inflict Injuries each time they pulse, which can quickly lead
to permanent death.
Getting the Sigil of Death
Wardstone from Deathwarden Latuc at #15 and using it can protect
you from the Sigils.
This door can be opened after a Perception check of 10 reveals that
the horned skull to its left is a switch, and then hitting that switch.

These stairs lead up to #20 on the map of the Base Floor. The level is filled with Barrow Guards, Scriveners and Eotens.
Here is Nemnok's pit, with Kaali as one of the supplicants in worship beside it. Both Nemnok and Kaali are integral to the Quest called Nemnok the Devourer.
There will be three chests here, all of them unlocked and without any traps. Each holds one unique and power magical item, with those items being:
It is possible to get these items without any hostilities as part of The Lost Grimoires Quest. Absent that, the only other way is to kill everyone who remains in the Sanctum as everyone here will turn hostile should you try to grab any of the items out of their chests.
