Ionni Brathr Fragment

Frequent foes througout the Caves will be Vithracks Luminaries, Vithrack Brutes that can teleport, Radiant Sporelings (enhanced versions of your usual Sporelings), Crystal Eaters and Moon Spiders. The Vithracks will leave behind Vithrack Brains when killed. The Radiant Sporelings will leave behind Sporelings. The Crystal Eaters will leave behind Spider Venom Sacs. The Moon Spiders will leave behind Spear Spider Legs.

  1. Here is the inital entrance that also leads back to Cayron's Scar at #19.

  2. Hair of OndraHere is a pool where you will encounter the Hair of Ondra, which is relevant to the Lair of the Eyeless quest.

  3. Here is a pool. You can only select one character for the scripted interaction that's involved. First, the character you choose must have a Constitution of at least 17 to be able to safely reach the bottom without injury.

At the bottom of the pool will be some coins and Frythr's Plated Greaves.

However, some Lagufaeth will have caught on to the looting of their treasure chest and will want to give pursuit.

If the character you chose for the scripted interaction has at least 10 ranks in Stealth, then he or she may simply hide from the Lagufaeth and then swim back up the top. That means the character will emerge with the Greaves without any injuries, and there will not be any fight with the Lagufaeth afterwards.

If the character you chose for the scripted interaction has at least 13 ranks in Athletics, then he or she can outswim the Lagufaeth to the surface. The character will emerge without any injuries, but the Lagufaeth will also swim to the surface and you'll have to fight them. They leave behind their usual Clubs, Lagufaeth Spears, Lagufaeth Stilettoes and Lagufaeth Livers when killed.

If the character you chose for the scripted interaction can neither make the Athletics check of 13 nor the Stealth check of 10, then the character will sustain an injury making his or her way back to the surface. And the Lagufaeth will have followed that character to the surface, forcing you to fight them.

  4. Here is where you can slide down to the pool so as to fight the Kraken at #5. Keep in mind that you cannot climb back up. Once you go down, the only way out is by defeating the Kraken and then the scripted interaction with the Crystal at #6.

  5. Here is the Kraken, who is the boss for purposes of the Lair of the Eyeless quest.

  6. Here is the large crystal that is the subject for an extensive scripted interaction for purposes of concluding the Lair of the Eyeless quest.
