Here is Justiciar Aldmar, who can provide background information on the Crucibles.
He soon muses on the subject of Ciphers, at which point a Stoic response is possible.
He soon afterwards betrays a prejudice towards the local Ciphers, on account of many of them being Orlans. Benevolent, Diplomatic and Passionate replies are possible at that point. It is also possible to take special exception to his remarks if your protagonist happens to be an Orlan.
Here is the Training Room, within which you can find Wyla. She explains her distress about some of her servants having gone missing in the nearby Heritage Hill. Aggressive, Benevolent, Diplomatic, Passionate and Rational replies are possible in response. Note that the Aggressive reply will result in a small negative reputation hit with the Knights of the Crucible. The dialogue results in Wyla giving the party the Missing Sentries task.
These chests contain random armors and/or weapons. If you get caught stealing from any guarded containers here, the members of the Knights of the Crucible will go hostile.
Here is the Shrine of Abydon. It is where you can have the Forge Hammer blessed by Abydon as part of the Iron and Flame quest.
Here is Commander Clyver. He expresses a frustration with not having enough manpower to effectively patrol Defiance Bay. Making a Benevolent reply will result in a small positive increase in reputation with the Knights of the Crucible. Making Cruel or Clever responses will result in minor losses of reputation with the Knights of the Crucible. Making Rational or Stoic replies will not have any effect beyond your own disposition. The dialogue also results in Clyver giving you the Built to Last quest.
Once you have completed that quest, he will then be willing to give you the Winds of Steel quest as long as you have not previously committed yourself to either House Doemenel or The Dozens exclusively.
