Githyanki Hideout

Githyanki Hideout map

This area is straightforward. Simply kill the hordes of Githyanki that you find here. Aiming area-effect spells through a door once you open it can be tricky, but go for it whenever you can. A wave of Githyanki will typically include at least one or two that will cast spells like Lightning Bolt or Magic Missile. Go for them first.

1.Exit to the Merchant Quarter.

2. Here you’ll find a few Githyanki guarding a portal. A Blade Golem charges through and attacks the Githyanki, and you once they’re dead. Haste is recommended. If you can put Stoneskin and every party member, that certainly helps as well cause the Golem can cause pretty severe damage. Once you inflict enough damage, it will go back through the portal. A nearby chest holds a Wand of Sleeping.Blade Golem

Head back to either Breilana or Axle and you’ll now have access to the Blacklake District now that another nobleman, Lord Hawkes, has been murdered as well. Now head to the gate in the Merchant Quarter at #13. If you’ve sided with the City Watch, it’ll be Guards waiting for you. If you’ve sided with the Thieves, it’ll be Karina. You’ll be allowed in, but only for the limited purpose of visiting Aldanon.

AldanonAldanon will let you in without much trouble if you’re with the Watch. If you’re with the Thieves, he’ll only let you in if you bring some Quicksilver with you. You may have to go back to Pap at #5 in the Merchant District if you don’t have any on you. Aldanon you’ll discover takes stereotypes about eccentric wizards to extremes. But in the end you up learning of the origins of the shards and about a supposedly deceased wizard named Ammon Jerro, who apparently was an expert on the shards. You also get a new shard, the Silver Shard: Physical Bonuses. Your next course is for the Archives. It won’t take much to convince your escort to let you make the trip.
