Here is the entrance. From here, you can access the Map of Denerim.
Here is one of the criminal gangs that you must take out as part of the Back Alley Justice quest. They're on the other side of the gate, so plant a crowd-control spell or two at the gate. Then fire away with area-of-effect or storm spells. Let your warriors take care of any that happen to make it through. Keep in mind that there will be a few more around the corner to the right.
Once you've done all three, click on the door and speak the password. Once inside, Gaxkang will initially appear as a human, but once the inevitable fight starts, it becomes apparent that he's undead. He can switch back and forth between an Arcane Horror form, using arcane spells, or a Revenant form, using telekinetic pulls and melee strikes. This is a tough fight, simply because Gaxkang packs health well beyond even the standard Revenant, and will resist spells pretty much all of the time. So don't even try this unless you're well into the higher levels of advancement. While in Arcane Horror form, trying using abilities like Mana Cleanse or the Glyph of Neutralization in order to minimize his spell casting. While in Revenant form, well, I hope you're packing plenty of Health Poultices and mana for healing spells for this one, because the close quarters means that sustaining damage over the long haul is a given.
Once Gaxkang goes down, he'll leave behind the Keening Blade (Dragonbone), as well as a few high-grade random items. There is also a small random chance that he will drop the Fade Wall (Silverite).
Look further in the house for a small hallway that bends a corner. You should be able to find a chest that holds the Elementalist's Grasp (Inscribed) and possibly a couple more random items.
Here is Tania. She is one of the widows that the Blackstone Irregulars want you to deliver a Letter of Condolence to as part of the Notice of Death quest.
