THE LOWER TOMBS (ALLIED WITH BODHI)

Note: 1-14 on this map are the same as in Chapter 2.

Note: You will be back in the northern part of this area in Chapter 6 but the layout will be different. For example, in Chapter 6 the Mace of Disruption +1 will no longer be available (it will, however, be highly useful!). So if you want to loot the area, do it now.

If you allied with Bodhi, the Lower Tombs are effectively split into two areas. The door at 14 can't be opened so if you want to visit the southern part of the map, you must use one of the other entrances from the Graveyard District.

  1. Here is an exit back to the Graveyard District.

  2. Here is a floor trap.

  3. Here you will be attacked by several Spiders, Sword Spiders and possibly a Phase Spider.

  4. Here is the entrance to the Southern Dungeons where you will have to go for Korgan's and Edwin's quests – the Book of Kaza and the Nether Scroll quests, respectively.

If you wish to explore the Southern Dungeons, please see the Chapter 2 map of this area.

  5. Here is another spider ambush waiting for you.

  6. Here is the entrance to Paina's Lair. Outside the entrance you will have to fight two Sword Spiders and a Phase Spider.

Inside the entrance waits Paina, a Drow Priestess, along with a large number of Spiders. A quick Fireball should reduce their numbers; otherwise you may find yourself overwhelmed.

Paina drops the Black Spider Figurine and a Quarterstaff.

Search the floor at (x=540, y=380) for the Pale Green Ioun Stone and scrolls of Spell Immunity and Spider Spawn.

  7. Here is another spider ambush.

  8. Here is a floor trap. The nearby chest is also trapped and locked. It contains Scrolls of Ray of Enfeeblement and Minor Spell Deflection, a Wooden Stake, 80 Arrows, 30 Throwing Axes, and 40 Bolts.

  9. Here is another trapped chest. It contains a Scroll of Protection from Fire, 80 Bolts, 40 Darts, 30 Throwing Daggers, and random treasure.

  10. Here is a floor trap.

  11. Here is another exit back to the Graveyard District.

  12. Here is yet another spider ambush.

  13. Here is another exit back to the Graveyard District.

  14. Here is the closed door that you couldn't pass in Chapter 2. You still can't open it from either side. If you wish to go to the other side, you'll have to exit to the Graveyard District and use another entrance.

  15. Here is the exit to 3 in the Graveyard District where you couldn't enter in Chapter 2. The table contains a Wooden Stake. The chest contains another Wooden Stake and some cash.

  16. Here are three coffins which you won't be needing for now.

  17. Here is a man named Fetch who offers to serve you. But you have no use for him.

If you don't mind taking 8 Hit Points' damage, click the pool of blood a few times to find the Mace of Disruption +1. If you have 200 pounds of Illithium (please see the Sir Sarles quest!), you can get Cromwell to upgrade it to the Mace of Disruption +2.

  18. Here you will find Bodhi.

  19. The floor in this room is full of spike traps that can't be disarmed. There is no point in entering here.

  20. Here is the exit down to Bodhi's Inner Sanctum.
