THE GOOD CLERIC STRONGHOLD: THE TEMPLE OF LATHANDER

If you are a Cleric of Good alignment, you will be offered a position in the Temple of Lathander when you complete the Unseeing Eye quest. Your job will be to offer advice to those who seek the guidance of the church.

High Mornmaster Arval sends you to speak to Acolyte Lara who can be found at 2 in the temple.

First Stronghold Quest: Glinden's Wife is Unfaithful

Acolyte Lara explains your duties. You are to offer advice to members of the church. Lathander is a Neutral Good god, and your advice should of course reflect his will. The seekers normally come back a day or two later to tell you how your advice worked, and Lara will be back after three days to evaluate how you did.

With that, Lara sends you the first seeker of your wisdom.

  1. The first to ask your advice is a merchant named Glinden. He and his wife used to be close but he has spent too much time working and too little with her, and now she has found a lover.

  2. The best option is to tell Glinden to forgive his wife and let her move on if that time has come. Glinden realizes you are right and leaves a happier man.

  3. Go back to the temple one day later and Glinden is back to tell you that all is well again between him and his wife! How sweet! :-)

  4. Come back another two days later, and Acolyte Lara will be waiting for you. If you picked the right choice, the party receives 20,000 XP. Lara sends you the next seeker of wisdom

Second Stronghold Quest: Ti'Vael has Killed a Man

Your next client is a dwarf named Ti'Vael. He got into a fight recently and killed his opponent and now wants to know what to do.

  1. Others might suggest that he should turn himself over to the courts, or kill all witnesses. But Lathander's advice is that Ti'Vael should take pay restitution and provide for the man's family. Ti'Vael goes off to do your bidding.

  2. Two days later, go back to the temple. Ti'Vael will be back to tell you that all went well. Apparently the man he killed wasn't such a great loss to his family...

  3. Another day later, Acolyte Lara is back to praise you for your wise decision. The party gains another 20,000 XP and Lara sends you another seeker.

Third Stronghold Quest: Rania has Lost her Faith

Next up is Rania, a young woman who has lost her faith.

  1. Tell her to take her time and think things over. Rania thanks you for your understanding.

  2. Wait three days and then go back to the temple. Acolyte Lara will be waiting to praise you. The party receives another 20,000 XP.

Fourth Stronghold Quest: Cotirso Wants Your Position

And you get your fourth task for the temple: Cotirso, a long-time follower of Lathander.

  1. Cotirso is angry because you were instantly promoted over him. He demands your position!

  2. Take the peaceful option and offer Cotirso your position.

  3. Lara immediately arrives on the scene. And makes it clear that Cotirso is not worthy of the position, which you get to keep.

  4. After Cotirso leaves in anger, speak to Lara again. Besides her praise, you receive another 20,000 XP for yourself and the party.

Final Stronghold Quest: Kill Weathermistress Ada

And Lara also gives you your final quest for Lathander: The followers of Talos are plotting to attack the Temple of Lathander and you must foil their plans by killing Weathermistress Ada, leader of the Temple of Talos.

Please note that from now on, all followers of Talos in the Temple District will be hostile.

  1. Go out into the Temple District. Go towards the Temple of Talos, which is at 8 on the map. You will have to fight your way past a few Storm Knights and Priests of Talos.

  2. Enter the Temple of Talos. Here will be more Talassans for you to fight.

  3. Mistress Ada is in her room at 3. Kill her.

  4. With the Talassans dead, take the opportunity to loot their temple. ;-)

  5. Go back to the Temple of Lathander and report back to Acolyte Lara. The party receives 1,000 GP and 35,000 XP, and you are given sanctity in the temple with no further duties.

And that concludes the stronghold quests for the Good Cleric.
