THE VANISHED

Several people have gone missing. Who is the wolf wearing sheep's clothing?

Coast Way Crossing

  1. Speak to Herod at 14 in the Coast Way Crossing about recent goings-on. He'll indicate that five people have recently disappeared. He also notes that the disappearances occurred shortly after the arrival of an Elven woman named Teleria.

  2. Teleria will be at 15. Speak to her after having spoken to Herod at 14 to start the Quest. Ask her about the recent disappearances and Herod's suspicions of her. She'll indicate that she'll need to speak to you elsewhere, walk a short distance, and then teleport to 19.

  3. TelariaTeleria will now be at 19. She's accompanied by a Lesser Stone Golem, and surrounded by five humanoid statues.

You can confront her over her apparent victims, as she's responsible for the disappearances that Herod spoke of. You'll have to defeat her and her Lesser Stone Golem. And she starts battle with a Stoneskin and Improved Invisibility in place. If you defeat her the loot will include:
You can then use the Scrolls of Stone to Flesh (Green) to free the victims who have been petrified. Each will give you a reward:
Now you can go to Herod at 14. You can either accept his offered reward of 1,000gp or turn it down and get a +1 increase to reputation.

  4. An alternative resolution starts by confronting her over turning people into statues, but then offering to help her find a victim. She'll want a soldier and a noble as her newest art pieces. Note that she'll reject the offer and attack if your main character is a Half-Elf.

Brielle is the soldier, and can be found at 9. You can order her to go to Teleria's glade. Corwin will override your orders and order Brielle to stay put if she is in the party. You can get around that by simply keeping her out of the party until you trick Brielle.

Vessanal is the noble and can be found at the Refugee Camp at 13. You can trick him into going to the glade by saying there's a chest with his ancestral emblem in it at the glade.

Bring both victims to Teleria and allow her to turn them to stone. She'll reward you with the figurine called the Stone Ally. It can summon a Lesser Stone Golem, and it has three charges.

  5. Another alternative resolution becomes available by complimenting her on her 'artwork', and then offering to purchase the Stone Ally from her. She'll sell it for 1,000gp, or accept the counter offer of 800gp if your Hero of Baldur's Gate has at least 14 Charisma.
