Here you’ll find a book lying on the floor. Peruse its pages and you’ll get some insight into what Nefris was up to. You’ll also find Nefris’ Key, which you will need in the Instructor’s Quarters.
You won’t be able to open it just yet though. Araman arrives with the other Masters of the Academy. He speaks to you as though he were speaking to Akachi, his brother. He leaves. The other Red Wizards proceed to attack you. In my experience, they tend to spend the first round or so trying to buff themselves up and this allows you to take the initiative. Simply fire offensive spells away, and plant any fighters you have right in their midst.
Now you can move on past the door.
