When you've concluded the matter of the demonic possession of Connor, here is where you'll wind up, the bedroom of Arl Eamon. The Arl himself lies comatose. Bann Teagan has two matters to discuss with you. One is the fate of Jowan. Letting him go free is out of the question for the Bann, at least until the Arl wakes up. So the two choices are to execute him or let him live as a prisoner. The choice is a pure roleplaying one that is yours to make.
Lying nearby is are a couple of books that yield Codex entries for First Blight: Chapter 2 and the History of Ferelden: Chapter 1.
The other matter is that the Bann would like you to find the fabled Urn of Sacred Ashes so as to help the Arl recover. Bann Teagan implicitly promises that if you can do this, it will increase your military power for the upcoming war against the Darkspawn. Pursuing this quest begins by investigating Brother Genitivi's Home in Denerim. Once you've seen this quest though, you'll be ready to take the Pinch of Sacred Ash to Bann Teagan, who will be waiting on the main floor of the castle, in order to revive Arl Eamon.
The Arl will also have two rewards for you. One is an item. The item will be the Redcliffe Elite Shield (Red Steel) if your Grey Warden character is a class other than Mage. The item will be an Pinch of Sacred Ash if your Grey Warden is a mage. The other reward is that the Arl of Eamon will unlock the Champion specialization for you.
Lastly, the Arl is the person you must speak to once you have completed the following Treaty missions that involving recruiting:
Either the Dalish Elves or the Werewolves of the Brecilian forest.
Either the Templars or the Circle of Magi.
The Dwarves of Orzammar.
Here is Connor's bedroom. If you selected to resolve the situation by killing Connor, he is where you would end up pursuing him. Otherwise, here he will be afterwards, alive and well. There is also a book nearby that provides the Codex Entry for Aveline, Knight of Orlais.
