Your character will find himself resting in a bed. You are greeted by Morrigan, who is apparently tending you after her mother rescued you from the top of the tower. You are apparently in their hut. A nearby crate holds a random item. There is also a locked chest. The door out will also be apparent.
Once you step outside, you and Alistair will converse with Flemeth, the legendary Witch of the Wilds. The inevitable outcome is that Morrigan will now join your party. During this prolonged dialogue, there are opportunities to earn approval with both her and Alistair.
Here is the exit to the World Map, from which you can see that Lothering is the only destination that you can travel to for the time being.
On your way there, you may get a 'random encounter'. The Mabari hound from back at Ostagar will approach you in a friendly way, and apparently regards you as its new master. There will also be a large band of Darkspawn to deal with, mostly Hurlocks led by a Hurlock Alpha. Once the battle is over, the Mabari War Hound now becomes a joinable companion. Note that if you killed the hound back at Ostagar, you won't get this encounter.
