Here is Ser Bryant, the leader of the Templars in Lothering. He'll give out information on various matters, like the Darkspawn setting their sights on Lothering, that Knights from Redcliffe are searching for an Urn of Sacred Ashes. You can inform him of the Bandits on the road when you first made for Lothering. If they are still alive, he'll instruct one of his subordinates to go and drive them away. This will get you xp, as will telling them that you killed them if you truly did. If you ask him for help, and are nice enough to him, he's willing to give you a Cabinet Storage Key to help yourself to the Cabinet at the far end of the Chantry.
Here is Sir Donall. He's more than willing to explain his quest to find the Urn of Sacred Ashes in an effort to save the Arl of Eammon from an apparently prolonged illness. You can also give him the Knight's Locket and the Knight's Note for an xp reward. Whether or not you press him for monetary reward is up to you.
Two things here. One is Patter Gritch, one of the potential recruits for the Blackstone Irregulars as part of the Scraping the Barrel Quest. Give him a Letter of Conscription to fulfill this part of the quest.
The other thing is the cabinet that you can use Ser Bryant's key for. It will have 4 Health Poultices and a random item.
Here is the Reverend Mother of the Chantry. You won't be able to convince her to give you any aid beyond not giving you away to those loyal to Teryn Loghain. A more difficult subject is the Qu'nari warrior, Sten. Even with a high level in Coercion, convincing her to release Sten can prove very difficult. If push comes to shove, you can threaten her with physical harm to convince her to hand over Sten's Cage Key. Alistair will vehemently disapprove, while this will score points with Morrigan. Suffice to say, the Reverend mother will be quite sour to you afterwards.
On the other hand, if you have Leliana with you, she can making convincing the Reverend Mother to set Sten free much easier.
