Moonstone Mask
When you first arrive in the Mask, somebody will let you know right away that there’s trouble. The stairs to the second level, which were previously unaccessible, are now open and on the east side of the first floor.
When you take them, you’ll arrive at #1 of the second floor as on the map. Throughout most of the rooms you’ll have to fight more Fire Mephits and Erinyes. In the room to the northwest at #2 you’ll find that a powerful Warlock, the Master of the fiends you’ve been fighting, has already murdered Melia. He also has the silver shard. He also summons two Nessian War Hounds to deal with you and then disappears. A straight up and not a difficult melee fight if you’re well armed.
Now travel back to Castle Neverwinter in the Blacklake District. Speak to Lord Nasher. You’ll get 1,000xp, and another 1,500xp if you kept Lord Tavorick alive. At the same time, Luskan has sent a new ambassador named Sydney Natale, who has arrived just in time to grace you with her presence. She denies official Luskan involvement with the Ember massacre and suggests that it was Black Garius striking out on his own with ambitions that go well beyond Luskan itself. You can either gain significant influence with Shandra by calling it a Luskan lie, or lose it by acquiescing in the official stance. She also clues everybody in that Black Garius will be attempting a dark ritual within Neverwinter territory. It’s the Crossroad Keep specifically, which will now be available on the World Map.
