Ferry Flotsam

Madhmr Bridge

  1. The task if given by Peregund, who's at #11 on the Madhmr Bridge map. She wants to recover what she can of her trade goods that she lost by the river shore.

  2. HanwenHanwen and her group of Looters will be at #20 on the Madhmr Bridge map. They will be guarding the Ferry Cargo that Peregund wants. Hanwen will explain that she and her followers are destitute and have little choice but to try and get by on Pergund's trade goods. She also requests that you mislead Pergund so that she'll give you a discount for her stores, which will be in Defiance Bay later on. You can initially make a Benevolent or Cruel reply in response to her request. You ultimately, however, have two choices.

  3. One is to refuse the request, which will lead to Hanwen and the Looters attacking you. You can loot Hanwen's body for the Hermit's Hat after the battle, along with plenty of other mundane loot from the other Looters. You can then bring the Ferry Cargo to Peregund for 600cp, plus a discount on her goods when she opens up shop in Defiance Bay. The downside is that you'll earn minor negative reputation with Defiance Bay.

  4. The other option is to agree to the request, go back to Peregund and lie to her that all of her goods washed down the river. Peregund will leave without any monetary or discount rewards, but Hanwen will reward you with experience points and the Hermit's Hat. You also earn Deceptive disposition, as well as a minor increase in positive reputation with Defiance Bay.
