Noonfrost

Noonfrost

There will be numerous Pale Elves here, including Vanquishers, Paladins, Sorcerers and Healers. Vanquishers and Paladins will typically be wearing Plate Armors or Fine Plate Armors, Medium Shields or Fine Medium Shields, and pack either Great Swords or Fine Great Swords. Healers will tend to wear Breastplates and pack eitlher Maces or Morningstars. Sorcerers will wear Robes, and use Quarterstaves and Pale Elf Wizard's Grimoire.

  1. This exit goes back out to Oldsong at #17.

  2. Vesgel will be in this room, along with several Pale Elf guards of varying professions. She'll warn you that only a shrine to the east is open to visitors. The rest of the Noonfrost is off limits.

To elaborate, if you see an open passageway without any doors, proceeding beyond will not cause any Pale Elves to go hostile. Going through any doors when there are Pale Elves around to notice it will cause all of them to go hostile. Doors that don't require a specific key to open are marked with 'd'.

If you decide to kill Vesgal, she'll personally leave behind an Exceptional Quarterstaff, an Exceptional Robe and Glasvahl's Grimoire.

  3. This urn will have some coins in it.

  4. These urns will have a random scroll or two in them.

  5. The chest on this altar will have the Blue Crystal Key, which opens the door at #12. If any Pale Elves are around to see you even open the chest, they'll all go hostile.

  6. This chest has the Silver Key.

  7. This bookcase has a copy of The Enigmatic God of Cold.

  8. This trapped chest will have a random scroll and some gems in it.

  9. This door can only be opened with either the Silver Key from #6 or a decent Mechanics skill.

  10. Here is an Orlan named Alwah. Her rescue is the objective of the Prison of Ice quest.

  11. This hidden mat will have a random weapon, usually of Fine quality.

  12. This door can only be opened with the Blue Crystal Key.

  13. There will be a couple of chests in this room. One of them will have a random scroll and some coins.

The other will have the White Crystal Key, which opens the door at #14, as well as random potions, gems and coins.

  14. This door can be opened with the White Crystal Key.

  15. This table has a quarterstaff named Wend-Walker.

  16. This hidden button will open the gate at #17.

  17. This gate can only be opened by pressing the hidden button at #16.

  18. This bookcase will have copies of White Woes', Edrang Hadret and The Enigmatic God of Cold.

  19. Here is where you will find the leader of the Pale Elves, Glasvahl. He is central to both the Prison of Ice and Into the White Void quests.

  20. Here is where you can insert the Glowing Ice Shard so as to complete the quest called Into the White Void.
