Templar Quarters

Templar Quarters

  1. Here are the stairs back down to the Great Hall. There is also a chest nearby.

  2. A Desire Demon and her Templar ThrallHere you'll encounter a Desire Demon who has seduced a Templar into a fantasy world of family life, effectively making him her thrall. If you condemn her action, and spoil for a fight, then combat will ensue. Be warned that this fight can be quite difficult. The Desire Demon will frequently use spells like Winter's Grasp and Cone of Cold, while the Templar will periodically whip out Holy Smite. There will also be several skeletons. A handy tactic that my Arcane Warrior used was to cast Force Field on himself, so that the Templar and Desire Demon wasted their efforts and him, and bought time for the other party members to go to work. Failing that kind of option, you can try casting a healing spell on the foremost character right away to pull some of the teeth out of the initial assault, and then try to take out one at a time as quickly as you can. The Templar will leave behind the Templar's Armor (Steel)

Of course, if you're so inclined, you can reach a truce that involves leaving each other alone. She'll then disappear along with the enthralled Templar.

A closet in here holds random items. A vanity will have a few items, including the Sailor's Charm and Sun Horde Vint-1.

  3. Here you'll find two Possessed Templars and a Blood Mage. If you can, go back down the hallway and force them to come for the door so that you can get the jump on them with crowd-control and/or offensive spells. The Blood Mage leaves behind Archon Robes. A closet in the room has a Trade Manifest. You'll also find notes that indicates that maybe current problems were because the Circle wasn't selective enough about who it took on as mages.

  4. Sloth AbominationWhen you enter this room, you'll encounter a Sloth Abomination, as well as a mage lying on the floor. The Sloth Abomination is going to use powerful magic to dull your consciousness in the waking world, and imprison you in its domain in the Fade, starting with an illusionary replication of the legendary Grey Warden fortress of Weisshaupt. You'll have to go through significant hoops and trials to break free of the Sloth's Demon dominion in the Fade.

Once you do return, you'll find the Abomination lying dead along with Niall. Search Niall's body to find the Litany of Andralla. This is what you'll need to make your fight with Uldred significantly easier.

  5. Here you'll find cabinets and chests holding random items. A charred corpse will have the Libertarian's Cowl.

  6. Here you'll find a Codex entry for "Extracurricular Studies".

  7. Here you'll have to fight several Dragonlings. Incapacitate as many as you can in a tight space, and then go to work. A chest in here has a Beef Bone, which the Mabari War Hound will appreciate as a gift, a Mabari War Harness, and Kaddis of the Lady of the Skies.

  8. Here you'll get attacked by several Abominations. The chests in the nearby rooms will have random items.

  9. The soldier's corpse here will have a random item.

  10. Here is another corpse that has Health Poultices and a random item. A nearby chest will have the Beastman's Dagger (Red Steel) and an Ice Band.

  11. Templar CullenHere is where you meet the Templar, Cullen. Whatever words you exchange, one thing is inevitable, going upstairs.

  12. Here are the stairs to the Harrowing Chamber.
