SHADOW DRUID ENCLAVE

Eldoth

I arrive at the south edge of the next area in the Cloakwood Forest, killing a few Giant Spiders on the way. I then dispatch a pair of Dread Wolves.

The video concludes with me revealing the location of the creepy Bard named Eldoth, for anyone who's interested.

Laskal

Now I bump the east edge in order to make the next area of the Cloakwood accessible. I then cross the bridge, and speak briefly with a Shadow Druid named Laskal. He gives me a Potion of Invulnerability and departs. The video concludes with me killing a couple of Wolves.

Faldorn and Takiyah

I continue southwest along the river edge and run into a pair of Cave Bears. Avastrian softens one up with a shot from his Wand of Frost, while Imoen casts Blindness on the other.

At some point I run into another Stone Henge. In the middle will be a joinable Druid NPC named Faldorn, for anyone who's interested.

I go north a little and run into a Shadow Druid named Takiyah. Shadow Druid fights are definitely jacked up in SCS. Takiyah now has 2 other Druids to help him. One edge that he'll have over me is that he's very like to hit the party with an Insect Plague, preventing any of my characters from casting spells once it takes effect. However, neither Takiyah nor his other Druids are especially noteworthy when it comes to physical combat. So I grab the first round to have Avastrian hit Takiyah with his Wand of Frost, and Imoen hit the trio with a Fireball, in order to soften them up for physical combat. Once Takiyah unleashes the Insect Plague the party charges forward for physical combat while Imoen stays well back so that she can continue to cast spells. After that she continues to chip in with spells like Chromatic Orb and Magic Missiles. Note at one point that Takiyah summons a Woodland Nymph. Once he does I make the Nymph a priority target as she'll keep casting healing spells on the Druids. It becomes only a matter of time before I cut them down.

Amarande

First I go a little northwest, and kill a pack of Wild Dogs.

Now I go up the tree in the middle. At the top level is the Archdruid of the Shadow Druids, Amarande. A lengthy banter leading up to combat ensues. Amarande is enhanced in much the same way as Takiya, except he is within close striking distance, so I'm able to quickly get on top of him and kill him without letting him cast any spells. The other Druids flee. Amarande will leave behind the Root of the Problem (+1 Club, +3 vs. unnatural creatures).

Izefia

I now explore the northwest parts of the area, killing pairs of Cave Bears with what are by now routine methods.

I then start to head south a bit and run into another Shadow Druid named Izefia. The combat themes are pretty much the same as for Takiyah, with the difference that it became easier because I was able to stop Izefia from getting off an Insect Plague spell.

Peter

Now I enter the nearby cave for a battle with Peter of the North and his two Baby Wyverns. I ignore Peter for the time being, and make the Baby Wyverns the first priority as they can poison with their attacks. Note how I wait until the Baby Wyverns settle into position first, and then arrange my own position so that three fighters are attacking a single Baby Wyvern at once. The idea always is bring down your enemies one at a time as quickly as you can. Once the Wyverns are gone, Peter's next.

After this I make my way towards the northeast corner, killing Cave Bears and Dread Wolves along the way.

My next destination is the Cloakwood Wyvern Nest.
