DARGOTH'S TOWER, LEVEL 2

Not on the First Three Levels of the Tower

There is nothing really of note in the large dark zone. I head across to the other side, using Trap Zap when I have to, until I reach 12N 4E. I then go east through the door.

It is in the large complex of small rooms in the middle of the level where the action is. I win fights against random monsters at 11N 5E, 10N 4E, 9N 5E, 10N 7E, 9N 8E, 8N 7E, 8N 5E, 8N 4E, 7N 8E, 5N 5E and 5N 7E.

I backtrack to where I first entered the complex. From there I win fights against random monsters at 13N 7E, 15N 5E, 14N 5E, 16N 5E, 16N 7E, 16N 8E, 14N 7E, 14N 9E, 14N 10E, 14N 11E, 16N 11E, 16N 10E, 11N 7E and 13N 9E. It is after the last battle that I find a message: "The Death Snare is not on the first three levels of the Tower."

Battle Test

Now I win fights against random monsters in a sequence of 8N 9E, 10N 11E, 11N 11E, 8N 11E, 7N 11E, 6N 10E, 5N 10E, 5N 11E, 7N 13E, 9N 13E, 10N 13E, 11N 13E, 12N 14E, 12N 13E, 14N 13E and 14N 12E.

At 13N 12E is the Battle Test: individual fights against seven different Golems named Blockhead, the Block Jock, Dick the Brick, Golem, Man-Rock, Rock' n' Roller and Stonefist. Winning these battles means I can claim a powerful sword later on. *Note* And this sword will be crucial to my use of Gallard, as it will allow him to maximize his power as a sniper who can insta-kill enemies at a considerable distance.

Cryptic Origins

Now I win fights against random monsters at 16N 13E, 16N 12E, 16N 14E, 15N 15E, 13N 15E, 14N 15E, 14N 16E, 13N 15E, 12N 15E and 14N 17E. After the last battle, a voice says: "Cryptic origins are typified in the unnatural scheme ..."

Stairs to the 3rd Level

I win fights against random monsters at 12N 17E and 11N 17E. I then back track to the southern edge of the complex.

I then win fights against random monsters at 5N 14E, 6N 14E, 6N 15E, 5N 15E, 8N 15E, 8N 14E, 9N 14E, 10N 15E, 9N 15E and 9N 17E.

I make my way to the teleporter at 5N 16E, which takes me to 1N 14E. From there I go to the teleporter at 1N 7E, which takes me to 18N 7E. The stairs to the third level are at 20N 13E. A voice tells me, after climbing the stairs, that I need three words to make progress.
