The Rogue is included because, once her skills get high enough, she automatically takes care of any chests and its traps for the party.

The Thief's Dagger gives her a guaranteed 100% chance to go into Hiding at the start of the round before any of the monsters can target her. She can then take an offensive action the next round. There is still a risk in that some monsters with slower initiative can attack her after her sneak attack. It was not a concern during the early dungeons since she still had a good enough AC with the Traveller's Tune from Ariel. By the time it becomes a distinct risk, I'll have an item that I can use to spam the Archmage's HEAL spell without limit.

The Nospen Ring provides complete immunity to spinners, which makes dungeon exploring a lot easier.
