Eternity’s End
If you sided with the Militia
Kelthanos, a powerful Paladin of partly celestial heritage, tasks you with hunting down and destroying a demi-lich named Rammaq. In the meantime, the streets are filled with Paladins of Kelemvor combating Undead Warriors, so you’ll be obliged to help out the Paladins along the way. You’ll also have to clean out the crypts of the undead as well. It may take some wandering around to find Rammaq, and when you do, be ready. He’ll be surrounded by Undead Warriors, and can cast a lot of spells. Take out the warriors first, since Rammaq may take some effort. Once they’re gone, try to rip his spell protections down with spells like Mordenkainen’s Disjunction and Greater Spell Breach. Vampiric Feast can weaken him significantly. This battle is also significantly easier if Okku is in your party because his claws will have adamantine properties by then. If he’s near death, you can nail him with Eternal Rest to gain a Pristine Spirit Essence. He will in any event leave behind the Deathless Diadem.
If you sided with the Crusade
Your task is to retrieve two Tomes for Rammaq. They will be found in the Northwest and Eastern Vaults. If you take on this mission 2nd or 3rd you’ll only be able to get one of the Tomes for Rammaq.
If you take on this mission 1st, you’ll have the chance to get both Tomes for him. You still have some options though. One of the Tomes can be destroyed at your option. The other Tome you can allow to be spirited away.
If you come back to Rammaq without one tome destroyed and the other spirited away, Rammaq will deem it betrayal and attack you. He will in any event leave behind the Deathless Diadem.
If you come back with only one of the tomes, you’ll get 2,000 xp for it and he’ll promise help when it becomes time to retrieve your soul.
If you come back with both tomes, you’ll get 5,000 xp and Rammaq will give you the Dire Totem of the Beastlands.
Once you’ve completed all three missions, a messenger will indicate to you that the Scrivener of Kelemvor wants you to speak with him in the Temple. Whether you kill the Scrivener once you enter the Temple or peaceably accept his offer is purely a roleplaying choice. Move on ahead and click on the huge book that you see. You’ll get 2,500 xp and a new area will be available to you once you leave Eternity’s end, the portion of the Wall of the Faithless that holds your soul. If Araman is in your party, he’ll leave at this point.
But first, once you leave the temple, another combat is in order. If you sided with the Militia, Kaelyn will now attack you along with Efrem and Susah. Efrem will leave behind Boots of Striding +8, and a Belt of Agility +8. Susah will leave behind Bracers of Armor +10, a Composite Longbow +5, Arrows +5, and an Amulet of Natural Armor +5.
If you sided with the Crusade, it will be Araman who attacks you. He’ll leave behind an Amulet of Natural Armor +5, a Bracers of Armor +10, a Ring of Free Movement, and a Ring of Protection +5.
