Starting Attributes: Strength 15 Dexterity 11 Constitution 17 Intelligence 10 Luck 10

The ideal character for the 1st slot is somebody with both great AC so as to handle front-line action, and high saving throws for when the party is hit by spells that affect everyone all at once. A Paladin fits the bill perfectly. The theme I had in mind is a kingly Dwarf who will eventually take over Kinestia as the new God of the Dwarves.

Shield: Pure Shield
Helm: Diamond Helm
Armor: Diamond Plate
Misc. Item: Ali's Carpet
Gloves: Wargloves
Ring: Shield Ring
Boots: Speedboots

I effect a little transition at the end. I change the Pure Shield to a Luckshield for the infamous Burger Battles, and leave it that way for importing to the second game. The point is to augment his saving throws even further during the sequels.
