WATCHER'S KEEP – OUTSIDE

This is where you arrive when you travel to Watcher's Keep from any outside area in Shadows of Amn or Throne of Bhaal.

You can travel to Watcher's Keep during chapters 2, 3, and 6 in Shadows of Amn, and during chapters 8 (after you have escaped Saradush) and 9 in Throne of Bhaal. Since this is a fairly difficult dungeon, I suggest that you wait until Throne of Bhaal.

  1. Here is where you arrive.

  2. Here you will meet a group of Priests of Helm, the Knights of the Vigil. Speak to Odren to learn that their task is to guard the prison that holds "The most terrible foe of the gods", as he calls it.

    Problem is that the old wards are breaking, The Imprisoned One has infested the rest of the keep with foul creatures, and they can no longer safely enter and enact the ritual which will strengthen the old seals. This is where you come in... Promise to help the knights, and everybody goes to the roof of the keep at 3.

  3. This is where Odren and his people take you when you agree to explore Watcher's Keep for them and seal off The Imprisoned One. Odren tells you to speak to Brother Pol to get the wardstone that will allow you to enter Watcher's Keep.

    Speak to Pol. He gives you the Ritual Scroll and the Vigil Stone, and will answer any questions you may have. Most importantly, he tells you that there are five levels before you reach The Imprisoned One, and that you can enter and exit all levels once you have reached them from the inside.

    Here is also the entrance to the First Level of the keep.

  4. Here is the entrance to the Elemental Level. You must have reached this level from the inside before you can enter and exit this way.

  5. Here is the entrance to the Maze Level. You must have reached this level from the inside before you can enter and exit this way.

  6. Here is the entrance to the Machine of Lum the Mad. You must have reached this level from the inside before you can enter and exit this way.

  7. Here is the entrance to the Final Seal. You must have reached this level from the inside before you can enter and exit this way.

  8. Here is the entrance to The Imprisoned One. You must have reached this level from the inside before you can enter and exit this way.
