Throne of the World Serpent

  1. Here is the stairs back down to the Holy Sanctum.

  2. Herald of ZehirHere is the last fight of the game, and it is indeed a tough one. At the insistence of Zehir, his followers are going to attack you. Come prepared to the max for this. The followers include several Yuan-ti, as well as Heirophant Nn’Safa, who is a powerful cleric. Also in the company is a massive snake-like creature called the Herald of Zehir. First things first, take out as many of the rank and file Yuan-ti as you can with Wail of the Banshee. If you’re lucky, it will take out the Heirophant as well. If not, go for him next to minimize his spellcasting. Now the sticky part in this whole battle is the Herald, who scores massive damage that bypasses damage reduction, and is himself largely immune to all kinds of damage. But here is a bit of a dirty secret. One thing he is not immune to is level draining. So before engaging in this fight, I would highly encourage you to have multiple instances of Energy Drain ready for this fight. Hit him enough times and you’ll severely reduce his fighting ability, or even kill him outright. If you have a character like a Favored Soul or a Sorcerer, even better. The Herald leaves behind the Fang of Zehir.

  3. Here is the exit to Samarach. Here is where you can return to Sa'Sani. Whether you kill her or let her stay in charge of the merchant company is up to you. From that point onwards, the game encourages you to retire from adventuring (offering the option for it) because the fight with the Herald of Zehir was the climax. You then get an epilogue based on who travelled with you and what you did in the course of the game.
