FIND THE MEN WHO BURIED TIRDIR ALIVE

When you walk by 14 in the Graveyard District, you will notice a sound coming from a freshly dug grave. Click the grave to rescue Tirdir who has been buried alive. He tells you that he was kidnapped by some criminals who, once they had received the ransom, buried him alive in the graveyard. He gives you a piece of Red Cloth.

  1. Go to 15 in the Graveyard District and speak to Sethle. He quickly confesses and tells you he often meets his contact in the Bridge District.

  2. Go to the Bridge District. At 17 you will find Am-Si, all dressed in Red.

  3. Confront Am-Si with the evidence you found. He quickly runs into a nearby house. Follow him.

  4. Inside you will see Am-Si's partners in crime, Reti and Camitis, killing Am-Si for leading you here. They then make their escape. Loot the first floor for minor treasure, then go upstairs.

  5. On the upper floor, you will find their latest kidnap victim, Lady Elgea. You can either free her for 16,750 XP or decide to hold her and get the ransom yourself (warning: This will eventually cost you 2 reputation points).

    NOTE: There is a way to get the Silver Pantaloons without losing reputation. Please see below.

  6. Loot the two chests at the beds for some money and a Short Sword. The closet at (x=400, y=230) contains a Ransom Note explaining how to get the ransom if you decided to hold Lady Elgea for ransom.

  7. Leave the house and you may have to fight Reti and Camitis. Reti drops mundane stuff, Boots of Avoidance, and some minor treasure. Camitis drops some mundane stuff and minor treasure.

  8. If you decided to demand ransom for Lady Elgea, wait for nightfall, then go to the Slums District. Welther will be standing near the lower entrance to the Copper Coronet at 3.

  9. Speak to Welther and you will get your reward: A pair of Silver Pantaloons and the party loses 2 reputation points.

  10. And one more thing: If you go back to the kidnappers' house in the Bridge District and go to the second floor where you met Lady Elgea, you will be attacked by four or five guards and two Cowled Enforcers. So don't do this, unless you're fairly high level and looking for some extra XP. None of them drop anything spectacular.

CHEESE: Several sites on the net have information on how to get the Silver Pantaloons without losing reputation: When you speak to Lady Elgea in step 5, tell her you are undecided. Grab the Ransom Note and go to the Slums District at night. Don't speak to Welther, just have your best thief pickpocket him for the Silver Pantaloons. Then go back to Lady Elgea and allow her to go free. She will not be very grateful to you but you avoid losing reputation this way.
