Magran's Fork

Magran's Fork

  1. This point provides access to travel by the World Map, and will also be the point of arrival if the party travels here from the Gilded Vale.

  2. The party can find an Admeth's Wyrt at these locations.

  3. A pack of Wolves can be found here. Each one will leave behind a Wolf Hide if killed.

  4. Here is Foelmar. If you speak to him, a few Wolves to the east will attack. He'll reward the party with three Potions of Minor Endurance. As usual, each Wolf will leave behind a Wolf Hide when killed.

  5. Here is an Adra stone formation. A corpse nearby it will have a random two-handed weapon of Fine quality.

  6. Here is where you'll find Sly Cyrdel and his crew if you accepted the bounty on his head.

  7. There will be a large pack of Boars here, which can make for a tough fight for a lower-level party. Should you win, each Boar will leave behind a Boar Hide.

  8. Against the GrainHere by a statue of Magran is where you can find and recruit Durance into your party, but only after you've completed the "Visions and Whispers" quest.

On the left side of the statue itself will be a hidden stash that can only be revealed while in Stealth Mode. It typically has a gem or two, as well as a scroll or two.

*White March* The statue can also be used to bless the Forge Hammer as part of the Iron and Flame quest.

*NOTE* If you go to any of the districts in the city of Defiance Bay, and come back, Gramrfel the Wayfarer will be just south of the statue, along with numerous mercenaries of various classes, including a Priest. Gramrfel is himself a Death Godlike, and his dialogue with you will take a somewhat different tone if your own protagonist is also a Godlike. A Perception check of 14 can call him on the pretense of being a scholar.

However the dialogue goes, a fight with them will be inevitable. The loot includes:

The one distinctive item amongst the loot is left behind by Gramrfel himself, a pair of boots called Dead Man Standing.

  9. Here you'll find a Forest Troll, which is fairly easy to kill by itself. It will leave behind a Troll Skin. A nearby corpse will have a Chewed Letter and Fulvano's Amulet.

  10. A Settler's Arrow can be found here.

  11. There will be a house here. This is the house where you'll find Kolsc if you side with Lord Raedric and agree to kill Kolsc on his behalf as part of the Lord of a Barren Land quest.

Inside will be three containers. One will have three Fruit and two Vegetables. Another container will have two Goldrot Chews and a Lockpick.

  12. Inside the crumbled tower will be a Will-O'-Wisp. It is fairly easy to kill by itself, and will leave behind a Spirit Residue.

  13. LudranaLudrana and two Goldpact Paladins will attack the party on sight here. This battle is easier if you go all out for Ludrana and take her out first.

Each Paladin, once the battle is over, will leave behind a Mail Armor, a Great Sword, and a Helm. Other items that get left behind by the Paladins include a Large Shield, a Wand, and a Blacsson.

Ludrana will herself leave behind Ludrana's Grimoire. The Grimoire itself has the following spells:

    • Mindoletta's Minor Missiles
    • Fan of Flames
    • Ghost Blades
    • Chill Fog
    • Fetid Caress
    • Necrotic Lance

  14. Here is where you can now access the World Map so as to reach Gilded Vale.

  15. Here is where you can now access the World Map so as to reach Black Meadow.

  16. Here is where you can now access the World Map so as to reach Anslog's Compass.
