I have a feeling that this has been discussed before, but still... Here goes! :

Wich race do you consider beeing the best/funniest to play?
One of my favourites is the Dwarf. Since he´s strong, brutal and he likes beer!
Please answer. This would be a fun thing to know!

Elf, delicate, beautifull, charming. Long lifespan. I just like elves, not sure why though :)

and dwarves, can't say I like them that much, hehhe, perhaps due to the fact I like elves :p

Well, hehe. I´m not so fond in elves myself either, but I guess it always has been like that. It´s often like this that you either like the brute dwarfs or the noble elves... :p

[IMG] Halflings - they are formidable thiefs, tough fighters, great paladins and they like beer too. Though elves are nice too.

I like human race for they offer the possibility to dualclass the char. However, the multiclass characters of elven and halfling races (fighter-thiefs in particular) are sometimes almost as good.

I usually play elves or half-elves, but my favourite race would half to be one of the short ones - probably dwarves. Probably due to their insane intake of alcohol, their attitude and their amazng Scotish accents :D :D.

Personally I think Humans are the best race on offer. There are no restrictions placed upon you at all. Being a human myself also helps me relate to the character and besides the NPC's you meet become alot more interesting if your just a plain old boring human mage or fighter.

Is there a point to me actually telling you what you all know already. In case anyone's missed my crazy Alliance of the Undersized posts, I can only be a good honest (*cough* meebe not too honest) down to earth dwarf. Although, possibly, now that I know a bit more about D&D, possibly I should consider our gnomish cousins. With all the invention, they're a bit closer to my initial perception of dwarves from Warhammer and they have the considerable roleplay benefit of not being as dour as dwarves.

I'm a big fan of the Ironman Triathalon.

Oh, the OTHER sort of race. . .

I've been playing alot of humans b/c I like paladins, but my fav. race is Elf. When 3rd Ed. games come out, I'll defitely play elves.

I have to say that i like the good old Half Elf. Nice ears without looking stupid.

BTW. If Dwarves were that tough they would realise that Beer is a weaklings drink. The only drinkers i can respect are those who can down a half bottle of vodka and still walk in a srtaight line plus recite a tongue twister.

Plus the fact that Elves are practically immortal.

I know this has nothing to do with BGII, but the coolest race/class combo I ever played was a CN 17th level pixie invoker who was completely insane and named Big Chuck. It was for a standalone runthrough of the Tomb of Horrors. :)

Of course some would prefer a man's drink over vodka. :)

I picture the dwarves drinking a good, thick Irish stout (the D&D equivalent of Guinness) or possibly a nice warm Irish whiskey - a medeval version of Jameson's for example.

As to favorite race, I'm partial to the halflings - gotta like the high dexterity, excellent saving throws and fuzzy feet.

Elves. Definitely. Dunno why ... well, maybe I do (kindof), but it's still a personal choice.
