When you place another post in this topic! (No offense, Headbanger...!)

 

This is an awesome (and old) thread so i decided to post just to bring it backup on the list

How about when your party sleeps you feel guilty because it's six o'clock in the morning and you should have been to sleep 5 hours ago and you gotta go to work in 2 hours and you STILL don't stop playing? (let alone eating food!)

When a party of adventures knocks on your door and invite you to go on a quest to find winkle-winkle land.

 

You walk into stranger's houses and look through their drawers hoping to find gold coins, gems and sometimes low level spells.

When you are playing dodgeball and you miss someone and you blame it on your 'high thaco'

When refer to your pets as famaliars

You wander the countryside aimlessly for days looking for quests

When you refer to normal objects as magical items eg my belt of anti-gravity (stops your trousers from falling down), your coat that increases your cold resistance by 10 etc.

You go into a church asking your minister/priest to heal your wounds, raise the dead and remove curses.

 

when everytime you go to sleep you set your alarm EXACTLY 8 hours into the next day...

 

you go to the gym weekly and you claim 'you have levelled up' when you can lift heavier weights!

you wish your girlfriend had pointy ears and blue skin and white hair

when you have an accident and avoided being hurt you claim you 'made a saving throw' to avoid damage

When you have an accient and get hurt you claim you 'failed your saving throw' and suffered double damage

 

When you go to family for the Christmas Holidays and there is no computer available and you just want to get home to play BG and check this board.

 

When you have sayings such as

"Fun is a good sneak attack and lots of gold. Tanks can have the glory."

 

When Jan Jansen has moved in with you, and has turned your kitchen into a Turnip shrine.

When you find yourself going on line to pay bills or research a paper and instead find yourself at SP posting a 2nd time on this thread.

When you have a ton of things to do but say to yourself 'I'll just play BG for 1 hour.' Six (6) hrs later you realize you haven't eaten or even gone to the WC.

 

You keep calling your co-worker's "NPC's"

You refer to the simultaneous use of the remotes for the TV and VCR as "dual-wielding".

You think "Pixie Prick" would be a good nickname for Michael Jackson.

 

When somebody said to you that you could trust him/her and you said 'Jal khaless zhah waela'.

 

You spend 3+ hours legitly rolling that perfect character....then decide you want to play a different class.

 

when you are having endless conversations with your friends how could irenicus not be evil and how he lost his powers

when you call your girlfriend dryad

when you have realized that you have been playing non stop BG2 for 4 years

 

When you´re picking a barfight with 7 bikers and think you´ll win by flashing a camera in the face of their leader thereby confusing him with your illusionary skills.

 

When you've got the game installed on more than one PC, just in case...

 

When you're able to save and reload your dreams... (I'm not joking here...I stopped playing for a month or two after that)

 

When someone asks how your family is doing and you respond with "My real father is the dead god of murder, my stepfather was killed by my brother, who I subsequently killed later, and my thieving sister has been kidnapped by a sadistic madman whose face is kept on by staples....we're all just ducky!"

 

When you go to the laboratory's practices and say with crappy voice: "It´s time of more... experiments"
When somebody call you, you say: "You point, I push!"

 

Hm, considering I work in a lab day and night I should do that next time. I can't wait to see the expressions on my colleagues' faces
