[IMG] Mystique is pretty darn cool. I wonder if Rebecca does her own stunts? If so, she's quite the talented little lady. Oh to be a man named John...

To be honest, I'm not that familiar with the comics, so I probably won't be terribly disappointed if she evolves on her own or whatever. I'm not that fond of the whole alien superpower invasions anyway, so I'm glad they've been left out of this.

I am going to see it today. In 4 hours actually. WHEEEE. Didn't see the first one, cause my super-dupper intelligent parents wouldn't let me. Stupid parents.

Anyhoo, I am going to see it. I am going to see it. And Wolverine is so hot that it's not even funny anymore.

Nightcrawler's effects were awesome. I also loved the "Too much iron in your blood." scene of Magneto and the guards.

    *** POSSIBLE SPOILER ***

I'll try not to be very direct for those who haven't watch it yet.

Correct me if I got it wrong, but the "Free Mutant" was Stryker's plan in order to get Xavier (for something big). And didn't Magneto have Mystique transformed into Stryker for a "change of plan"? Xavier & the human race dispensable to Magneto... go figure.

    SPOILERS:

    Stryker wanted the mutants dead.

    Magneto wanted the humans dead.

    Simple as that.

And yes, Nightcrawler rocked. But I like Wolverine more. :)

When I saw it, I decided it was fairly overrated, but nonetheless very good.

    SPOILERS

The one strong thing I liked was John (Pyro). A messed-up kid who doesn't have the coolness of Wagner, nor the ruggedness of Logan, but someone with lots of anger built into him (the cigarette scene was nice, the police scene was just insane). The conversation on the plane with Magnus is interesting, where he names himself Pyro. And the final scene involving him leaving with Magnus and Mystique is great - it shows you how he's switched his sides.

Sadly, I missed Toad and Sabretooth. Where were they? I do hope they show up in the third one.

I didn't think Wagner (Nightcrawler) was especially interesting. The initial scene involving his attempted assassination (threat?) of the President was exciting, although I prefer to think that it was mostly eye-candy, and in the latter parts of the movie, he was nothing more than a cool side effect.
